CASOLOGY WEEK#396, WIND

Hi everyone! Welcome back to another challenge at CASology where the cue word is 'wind'. Some one is being naughty here today! This cute Dino is farting rainbow colors happily in the jungle. This thought really make me laugh :D I'm sorry for being so dirty :P

That cute Dino is a die from Sizzix called Dinosaurs. And the rest, the trees and the wind (fart) was hand drawn and colored with Faber-Castell color pencils. Please don't forget to join the fun at CASology. We would like to see your beautiful creations in the gallery. :)

CASOLOGY WEEK #368, PLANT

Hello my dear lovely crafty friends, how are you? I hope you're safe, healthy and good. #stayhomestaysafe.

Welcome back to another lovely challenge at CASology where the cue word is 'Plant'. Bloom or grow where you're planted, this was the quote inspired and encouraged me to start my crafty journey with absolutely nothing. Now I'm so thankful to our Lord God for everything that I have now. :)

MY CARD MAKING DETAILS

It is a one layer card with Overlap Stamping Technique (watch video here). The stamp set and Inks used here are by Catherine Pooler Designs.

• I started by stamping one of the leaves from Wild Garden stamp set with Tiki Torch, Tutti Frutti and Mardi Gras inks on the lower portion of the card base.
• Next I added splatters of black paint.
• Finally stamped the sentiment from Simply Stated stamp set.

For me everyday is Mother's Day, I usually don't celebrate only on that day, I celebrate everyday with my beloved mom. Do not be afraid to use bold colors and splatters on one layer card design. A FLORAL CARD

Hello everyone! I hope you guys are safe and well. #stayhomestaysafe. Today I have a very feminine floral card for you and the sentiment on this card was 'dope'. Many are living a life just to impress people, I don't want to be that kind, I want to inspire people. There is a quote on Pinterst which I love the most - 'I want to inspire people, I want someone to look at me and say because of you I didn't give up'. How awesome, right?

I'm striving and working my ass off to achieve my dreams and goals. My prayers will never go in vain. I know HE gives me everything at the right time. I just keep saying and remembering this verse from Bible - 'Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time' 1 Peter 5:6. This gives me so much strength and courage and again I say to myself - 'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me' Philippians 4:13. 

MY CARD MAKING DETAILS

This card is a 'One Layer Card with Masking Technique.

• I started by masking a portion on the card front with masking paper and stamped the flower (from Cherrylana Designs) and masked it as well. Learn more about MASKING TECHNIQUE HERE.
• I ink blended the background with Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Inks.
• To create a beautiful night sky, I added splatters of water and white paint. 
• Then I water colored the image with Faber-Castell Connector Pens. If you're curious about how I did water coloring with those pens CHECK HERE.
• I also colored the stamens with gold pen.
• Finally finished the card with a beautiful inspiring sentiment from Cherrylana Designs.

CASOLOGY #366 | ZODIAC

Hello everyone! Welcome back. Today's cue word at CASology is Zodiac. I was born in August so I'm a Leo. Hence the card. :) And the sponsor for this week is Stamplorations.

I've tried something new in my life i.e., Line Art. It's looks very complicated but once you get a hang of it, it is very easy. If you're not sure, start with a pencil and then move onto the marker. I did like that only. I have a Pinterest board dedicated for Line Art, if you are interested go check it. 

I started with a line art first and then stamped the script from Catherine Pooler Designs with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink. Finally finished the card with a sentiment from Craftangles. This is a one layer card and the line art Lion is my focal image.

CASOLOGY WEEK 362 - TALL

Hello everyone! Welcome to another beautiful challenge at CASology. The cue word this week is 'tall'. I chose a tall tree stamp set from Cherrylana Designs. 

Please excuse my dirty stamp and block. 

CARD MAKING DETAILS

I started by applying the top layer of the stamp in dark pink water based marker. The stamp set is called 'Magical Forest' by Cherrylana Designs.

Then I went ahead and started applying orange color.

Then I added yellow at the bottom of the tree and blended the colors.

To achieve that brown shade, since I don't have one, I mixed orange and green markers.

Before stamping onto the card stock, huff a little. And yes! Look at that beautiful and lovely image.

I added golden details with Sakura Gold Pen and finished the card with a sentiment from Craftangles.

CASOLOGY WEEK 361 | SWEET HEART | GENERATION STAMPING

Hello everyone and welcome back to another challenge at CASology where the cue word is 'Sweet Heart'. You can interpret the cue word the way you want to. I hope you guys would join the fun ;)

CARD MAKING DETAILS

So these are the products I'm going to use on my card today. That cutie stamp set is from HNMD CrafTangles called 'I Love You'. I will be using that solid stamp and the sentiment today.

Have you ever tried Generation Stamping? 

Here I applied the same technique today. For this technique you don't have to use a lot of products, just an ink pad and a stamp is enough.

A solid stamp will do wonders. Just ink up your stamp really very well and stamp once, twice, thrice and go on. Do not ink it in intervals. You will achieve a beautiful ombre colored images from dark to light.

I've done three rows, for each row I stamped until the ink disappers in the stamp. And also I've overlapped the images. I used Picked Raspberry Distress Ink. Look at the beautiful rows of ombre hearts!! Lovely, isn't it?

I stamped the sentiment from the same set with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

I also added stars for some extra shine. I'm so obsessed with the stars these days! :P

CASOLOGY CHALLENGE #360 | CRYSTAL | PICTORIAL

Hello everyone! Welcome back to another challenge at CASology where the cue word is 'Crystal'. I hope you all would play along the challenge and have fun ;)

CARD MAKING DETAILS

I started by watercoloring the background of a standard sized white card with Koi Water Colors.

I also added splatters of black paint to enhance the beauty of the card design.

I stamped the Crystal image and sentiment from Creative Retreat in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink directly on the watercolor background. An uncolored image looks very appealing on a busy background.

Finally I embellished the card with Crystal Stars by Lucy's Little Things. Yep! This is a 'one layer card'.

YOU AND ME COFFEE THEMED CARD | CATHERINE POOLER DESIGNS | VIDEO

Hello everyone! I'm back with a coffee themed card. I love coffee and so my husband! :) And I kept the colors of my card match the coffee theme. It's a pretty simple one layer card with stamping, masking and ink blending. I have a video also kindly do check to learn more details about this card.

CARD DETAILS

I started by stamping the coffee mugs with Be Mine and Rockin' Red Inks from Perfect Blend Stamp Set, also added details with Versafine Sepia Ink. Later I masked the bottom area of the card and ink blended lightly with the same Versafine Sepia then masked the top portion and ink blended heavily. I also added splatters of Vintage Photo Distress Ink for more interest. Adhered a little die-cut heart and finished the card.

KISS ME CARD | PAPER SMOOCHES

Hello everyone! This card is for few challenges and the card design was inspired by one of my previous cards. This is a one layer card which involves Masking, Stamping, Ink Blending and Coloring. This card would be perfect for beginners and this card would definitely bring a smile to someone you love! ;)

CARD DETAILS

I started by Masking the 1/3rd portion on the card with a washi tape, stamped the frog from Paper Smooches with Memento Ink which is alcohol friendly. Then Masked the frog off and ink blended the background with Peeled Paint Distress Ink. Then I colored the image with Sizzix Markers and finished the card with a sentiment. To create more interest to the card I added splatters of black ink and Stardust Stickles to the pouty lips of the frog! LOL!
