CASOLOGY CHALLENGE #367, MAGICAL

Hello my dear friends! I hope you are safe and sound. Welcome to another CASology Challenge, this week's cue word is 'Magical'. Wow! the word itself sounds so magical! :D We literally need a magic to happen during this pandemic. Let's hope our days will be filled with full of sparkle again. :)

The sponsor for this week is Uniko.

I used a kraft card stock for a change, colored the lovely fairy image from Craftangles with Faber-castell Bi Color Pencils. Have I done a good job at coloring? Let me know in the comments. ;)

I have another card with the same design but some how I wasn't satisfied the way it turned out so I ended up making another one with kraft card stock. The ink I used on this card was Versafine Sepia Ink. I hope you like the cards.

Thank you so much for stopping by and also don't forget to play along with CASology Magical Challenge. Happy Paper Crafting. Stay Safe! :)

'STAY HOME STAY SAFE' SIMPLE MIXED MEDIA CARD WITH PICTORIAL

Hello my dear crafty and non crafty friends! How are you guys doing? I hope you are safe and sound at your homes. #StayHomeStaySafe

Today I wanted to share a 'simple mixed media card' which I've been longing to. I don't know why my heart is drawing towards warm and pastel shades and a grungy look. I also like using bright colors on my cards but I prefer being more pastel. If you like Mixed Media and if you are a beginner, this post would be helpful for you.

MY CARD DETAILS

I started by drawing a house on the card front and cut it using Sizzix Multi Tool.

Then I adhered this pattern paper, from PaperMania, to the card front.

I flip it over and did as shown above :P

This is how the card looks from front.

Then I applied a wash of white gesso by Papericious.

I stamped the images from Mudra's Critter Party in Versafine Sepia Ink and water colored with Faber-Castell Pens.

Fussy cutting done!

Onto this panel, I applied a water wash of gold pigment paint.

I also colored the cheese cloth with the same pigment paint.

I let the panel and cheese cloth dry for sometime. Meanwhile I adhered this bright yellow card stock by Sizzix to the main card base.

I adhered the cheese cloth over it.

And placed this panel over it.

Finally I adhered the animals as shown above and also added few splatters of black paint. For the sentiment I used alpha stickers by 'Creative Retreat' phrasing 'Stay Home'.

A FEW MORE SHOTS FOR YOU

I created a scene - these animals love to stay at home during this pandemic, by adhering the animals half inside and half outside. And I wanted that bright yellow color peek through the house. I added little details to the alpha stickers to pop on the busy background.

I hope you like the card and I hope you feel inspired. Thank you so much for stopping by and I'll see you next time :)

MY CARD FOR THE BLOG HOP

My take on this Spread Joy Not Germs Blog Hop is to encourage all the humans those who are going through hard times and those who are helping the society selflessly. Please watch the video to learn how I made this card.

I'm here with a very sweet card for you and this card features Wonky Triangle Stencil, Toucan Do It Stamp Set, You Did It Stamp Set, Minto To Be Ink and Midnight Ink by Catherine Pooler Designs.

I started by watercoloring the bird with Faber Castell Water Color Pencils, fussy cut it and kept aside.

Then ink blended the background with Mint to be ink, placed the stencil and applied the same ink through it. I removed the stencil and added splatters of Mint to be ink and gold paint to enhance the beauty of the card design.

I foam mounted the bird and adhered the leaves with Tacky Glue. Finally I finished the card with a sentiment from You Did It stamp set. Do hop along and win some exciting prizes. Thanks for stopping by.

I salute all the Doctors and Nurses, Police and Volunteers and especially the Municipal Workers. Yes! You can do this, we can do this. Let's kick the virus from our universe. #StayHomeStaySafe.

CASOLOGY #366 | ZODIAC

Hello everyone! Welcome back. Today's cue word at CASology is Zodiac. I was born in August so I'm a Leo. Hence the card. :) And the sponsor for this week is Stamplorations.

I've tried something new in my life i.e., Line Art. It's looks very complicated but once you get a hang of it, it is very easy. If you're not sure, start with a pencil and then move onto the marker. I did like that only. I have a Pinterest board dedicated for Line Art, if you are interested go check it.

I started with a line art first and then stamped the script from Catherine Pooler Designs with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink. Finally finished the card with a sentiment from Craftangles. This is a one layer card and the line art Lion is my focal image.

I hope you like it and I would like to see your beautiful cards in the gallery. Stay Safe! :)
