THROUGH CHRIST | MIXED MEDIA PAGE | SIZZIX LIFESTYLE

Hello everyone! I can say with a little pride that this is my first proper Mixed Media page because I used Gesso (my first ever) and Acrylic Paints for the first time. Do you like the Unicorn in the pic? It's so beautiful and colorful and yesterday it was lying all alone on my desk beautifully :) The acrylic paints from Hobby Ideas are so vibrant and so pretty. I am very much happy with the project I made, I will make a few more, once I'm confident enough I'll share the entire making process through videos. And this project is done for Sizzix Lifestyle.

Recently I launched a FB page called 'Apple and Cupcake' where I make and sell 100% handmade books. The profits earned through 'Apple and Cupcake' will go into service and developmental actions for the unprivileged. When I had a thought of starting this, I really had so many confusions and fears but the verse in the above pic spoke to me directly and repeatedly. Then I took courage and started putting my efforts in Apple and Cupcake. This art goes straight on my book binding table wall, so whenever I see this I get courage and I say to myself 'Yes! I can do anything through Christ who strengthens me'. :)

MIXED MEDIA PROCESS

I applied a generous coat of Gesso from Papericious on a very thick/heavy weight paper. This Gesso dries very fast and helps the art making process easy.

Then I die-cut the Unicorn out of white card stock a couple of times and applied acrylic paints to it.

I added some details to the Unicorn's body with the same acrylic paints.

Also added eyes, mouth and hoofs with black permanent marker.

I applied Dark Blue and Purple and Gold acrylic paints to the background and once it's dry I added droplets of white and gold acrylic paint splatters. The background looks so gorgeous!

Here is another close up shot for you!

Close up shot - details on Unicorn's body! :)

Finally I adhered the Unicorn and all the alphas with tacky glue. I hope you like it. Thank you so much for visiting. :)

BICYCLE | LOTS OF LOVE | SIZZIX LIFESTYLE

How cute is this Bicycle with cart full of Hearts!! I die-cut the bicycle, cart and hearts out of white card stock and colored them with Copic Markers :)

This card was made using the Chapter One dies by Sizzix Lifestyle. And the products featured here are

CARD MAKING DETAILS

I took a top folding landscape card which is a heavy weight one and I die-cut the bi-cycle from Spirng Time and Hearts from Unicorn out of white card stock. I used the same heavy weight card stock for die-cutting also.

To color the die-cuts I used Purple, Grey and Red Copics and also a black permanent marker. I adhered the cycle with tacky glue and stacked the hearts behind the cart and adhered it to the card front as well.

I also adhered a couple of hearts as if they were coming out of the cart. I simply repeatedly stamped the sentiment from Avery Elle in Midnight ink by CP Designs. :)

BUTTERFLIES | ONE LAYER CARD

Okay! I made this pretty purple butterfly card for a couple of challenges. Yes! it's one layered (not the butterflies). I used minimal supplies (stamps and inks) and it took me less than 10 minutes to make this one. You can easily mass produce this type of cards once the card design is finalized. That's the beauty and simplicity of 'one layer cards'.

I feel very happy while making this type of cards. I really enjoy doing simple things and I love being simple all the time! ;)

CARD MAKING DETAILS

I started by layering the butterflies from Mudra - Butterfly Layers stamp set with Pixie Dust and Flirty Fuchsia (dark one) and Sweet Sixteen and Pixie Dust inks (light one) by Catherine Pooler Designs.

Next I added a few trails or dots for both the butterflies with a black permanent marker to enhance the beauty of the card design.

Then I stamped the sentiment from Mudra - Dream Big Lil' One stamp set in Midnight Ink. By the way, the card base I used was a heavy weight white card stock and it's standard sized.

Thank you so much for visiting. Take care and I will see you soon. :)

FLORAL VALENTINE'S DAY CARD | UNBOXING CHAPTER 1 DIES | SIZZIX LIFESTYLE

Hello everyone! Welcome back. Today I have a beautiful Floral Valentine's Day Card and Video for you. I used Chapter One Dies by Sizzix Lifestyle. I have also shared an Unboxing Video, you can check it HERE or below. Just for a change, I used my colored card stock instead of water coloring the die-cuts. Using colored card stock will save your time and the die-cuts will look pretty already! :)

How beautiful, right? You can easily shape up the leaves and flowers with your fingers.

And the cardstocks are from A Muse Studio

CARD PROCESSING DETAILS

I started by die-cutting all the elements from Garden Florals out of colored cardstocks. Next I water colored horizontal stripes on a card panel in grey color. By the way, the paper I used for watercoloring is a heavy weight card stock and it holds water very well.

I let that horizontal lines dry completely and later added splatters of black paint for some lovely look and this is my favourite part!

I took sometime to arrange the florals and adhered them with Tacky Glue.

I also adhered the Dainty Lowercase with some Tacky Glue. These thinlits are really very gorgeous!

Finally I adhered the water colored panel over the main card base. And... that's it.

I have made a video for you showing you the entire process of making the above card. I hope you like it. Enjoy! :)

WATERCOLOR RAINBOW BUTTERFLY CARD | SIZZIX LIFESTYLE

Hello everyone! Do you like butterflies? I do, sometimes! The butterfly die I used for my today's project for Sizzix Lifestyle is Floral Butterfly thinlit die. It's very gorgeous, intricate and beautiful.

PRODUCTS FROM SIZZIX LIFESTYLE

CARD MAKING DETAILS

I started by applying School Watercolors by Camel in a Rainbow color order and I let the panel dry for sometime. Then I placed the Floral Butterfly Thinlit Die over the water colored panel and ran it through the Big Shot Plus Machine.

I took a standard sized card and another panel smaller than the main card base. To that smaller panel I added splatters of black paint for some lovely look. Next I stamped the sentiment from Mudra's Doodled Elements on a strip of paper with Midnight ink by CP Designs.

And adhered the butterfly over the stamped sentiment strip and foam mounted the panel over the main card base. And that's it! :)

WATCH & ENJOY

Here is the video for you showing you the entire process of card making right from water coloring, die-cutting and stamping. I hope you like it. Thank you :)
