BY THE POOL CARD | CASOLOGY

Hello dear friends! There is still time to play at CASology Week 371 challenge where the theme was 'pool'. And here is my take on it. I simply water colored the background with Craftangles Pool Side ink on Canson Cold Pressed Water Color paper. Stamped the cute image from Hero Arts - Baby Animals stamp set in Archival Jet Black Ink and water colored as well. And that Good Luck stamp was from Sizzix.

I added little details (underwear) to the cat, check below! :D

I hope you like the card and I hope you got inspired. Thank you so much for stopping by. Please don't forget to link your projects to the gallery. Thanks again and happy paper crafting. :)

'YOU' CARDS

Hello friends! Recently I came across this beautiful yet inspiring pin on Pinterest. As soon as I saw it, I wanted to create something like that but wanted to give my own touch and twist. The pins were like 'inhale, exhale', 'faith, fear'. This gave me an idea to create cards with 'peace, love', 'kind, beautiful' and 'spice, sweet'. The over all cards say that YOU are spice and sweet, make sense? If you want more inspiration please check my Inspiration board. So I'm here today with three cards for you, I hope you like it.

CARD MAKING DETAILS

The most common thing you'll notice in this post : one layer cards, masking, ink blending, handwritten sentiments and took me minutes to make.

For me all colors are beautiful. I'm dusky in color, I had this inferiority feeling about complexion when I was little. But with age, maturity and knowledge the perspective towards dark skin has changed completely and I started to love and respect myself. One day someone said to me 'you are beautiful and you know what? dusky girls are more appealing'. I really liked that compliment! :P by the way, I used Ground Expresso and Antique Linen Distress Inks.

I've got peace like a river and I've got love like an ocean! I love this song so much. I guess the colors are very apt to the words. :) I used Picked Raspberry and Broken China Distress Inks.

This one was my favourite. The colors and the words are just wow! :D I used Carved Pumpkin and Spun Sugar Distress Inks.

I hope you liked the cards. If you have any questions kindly leave me a comment below and I'll get back to you asap. :)

I'm entering these cards for the following challenges

  1. AAA cards CAS Game #169 - Made In Minutes
  2. CAS on Sunday Challenge #184 - Anything but White

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you soon. :)

STENCILING WITH WATERCOLORS

Hello everyone! Welcome back! Today, I have a trio of stenciled cards with watercolors. It's a kind a stencil tracing where we apply water colors instead of using a marker to trace the stencils. This is such a cool technique and the results will be amazing. For my cards, I used Camlin Brush Pens as my watercolors. I love these pens so much and I've been using them for ages! And I added a twist to the cards by adding handwritten sentiments, yea! :)

CARD MAKING DETAILS

By the way, I went with color theme Fuchsia, Yellow and Grey

Most common thing you'll notice in the cards - One Layer, Splatters, Color Scheme, Stencils, watercolors and hand written sentiment.

This one was my favourites. I placed Craftangles Rainbows and Clouds stencil and traced with watercolors.

On this card, I used Roses All Around stencil by Craftangles

For this I used Autumn Leaves Stencil by Craftangles. You can see the imperfections on this card but it's totally okay with me because it's handmade :P

I'm entering these cards for the following challenges
  1. Less is More Challenge #423 - Fuchsia, Yellow and Grey
  2. CrafTangles Monthly Craft Challenge – July 2020 PATTERNED PAPERS / STENCILS
  3. CAS Mix Up July Stencil Challenge

I hope you liked the cards. If you have any questions kindly leave me a comment below, I shall get back to you asap. Thanks for stopping by. Stay Home and Happy Paper Crafting. :)

PINSPIRED CARDS, PART 2 | VIDEO TUTORIAL

Do you remember the watercolor backgrounds that I made a few weeks ago? I have shared a video too, if you missed it, kindly watch it HERE. And look how I turned those beautiful backgrounds into beautiful cards here. Do you wanna know how I made it, then watch the video below! :)

CARD MAKING DETAILS

I used various products to create my cards.. Let's start..

On this card I simply doodled the girl and colored her in Copics and Sizzix Markers. And the sentiment was also hand written and the speech bubble was hand drawn. :)

On this card, I die-cut the leaf out of Sizzix Natural Leaves Thinlit Dies using Sizzix SideKick Machine. The cardstock is also by Sizzix.

The sentiment stamp on this one is by Craftangles called I love you.

The sentiment stamp is also by Craftangles called Love Story.

BECOME THE CHANGE | SIZZIX

Hello my dear lovely friends, how are you all ? Today I've a simple mixed media card to share with you. After watching so many video tutorials on Mixed Media, I understood the process and I want to share the pretty basic steps with you all if you are new to Mixed Media. So let's start..

PRETTY BASIC STEPS TO CREATE A MIXED MEDIA CARDS

1. Apply Gesso
2. Place a stencil and apply Texture Paste through it
3. Add lots of splatters.

CARD MAKING DETAILS

I started my card making process by applying Gesso by Papericious on Sizzix light blue card stock. This card stock has both textured and smoother sides.

Then I made a paste with the combination of Texture Paste by Craftangles, Blue ink spray by Memento and Distress Glitter. Mixed to a form a nice chunky texture paste, placed Damask Delight Stencil by Craftangles and applied the texture paste through it. I allowed it to dry completely.

This beautiful butterfly die is by Sizzix Butterflies Thinlit die, ran it through the Sizzix SideKick Machine and Sizzix Card Stock. The butterfly is already textured, to enhance it's beauty more I applied Gold Paint. Also added lots of splatters of Gold, blue, black onto the main card base to bring the design together.

I adhered the butterfly with gold string with the help of glue and also adhered sequins in the center. Finally, after so much of thinking, where to place the sentiment, I wrote 'Become The Change' with White gel pen by Sakura on the same card stock and adhered onto the card base.

Yes! You have to 'become the change'. Dust the old things in you, break the chains that's stopping you, dress up and reach for the stars and let the people tell that you are the reason for their change. :)

I hope you liked the card, if you have any questions kindly leave me a comment below. Thanks so much for stopping by. Stay Home and Happy Paper Crafting! :)
