CRAFTANGLES SEPTEMBER BLOG HOP - ART WAXES | VIDEO

Hello everyone! Welcome to Craftangles September Blog Hop. The theme for this month is Art Waxes. I made a simple mixed media card again for you. Watch the video below to learn how I made the card! :)

CARD DETAILS

I started by stamping the background of the white card stock with Old Newspaper Stamp and Memento London Fog Ink.

Then I applied Texture Paste in Paper through the Geometric Flowers Stencil and let the paste dry.

Once the paste is dry, I applied Art Wax in gorgeous gold over it with fingers. You can also use foam or brush to apply the wax.

I embossed the sentiment from Hello Baby Stamp Set with Gold Embossing Powder. Added a gold thread for some extra touch and finished the card with a few splatters from Carbon Black Art Spray.

BLESSINGS | CATHERINE POOLER DESIGNS

Hello my dear lovely crafters! How are you doing? :) Today's card is a bit 'one layer card'. The reason behind this card was - we often neglect small stamps from the set and we don't often use them on our cards. So I decided to give them some love by seasoning them on this 'Fall Themed Card' ;)

CARD DETAILS

I started by stamping all the tiny images from Autumn Blessings Stamp Set on a white card stock with Memento Black Ink and colored them with Sizzix Permanent Pens. I used two shades of color for each image and I feel it's more comfortable to use two shades rather than using many shades of markers at a time!

Then I stamped the Pumpkin in Tiki Torch followed by Rockin Red. The technique I used was Rock n  Roll or Tone on Tone or Ombre Stamping Technique. I didn't get the result properly but I liked it! These pumpkins are looking very artsy and they added more interest to the over all card design. :)

I also stamped the bold sentiment from the same set with Versafine Sepia Ink. I fussy cut all the images with scissors and adhered over the card panel as shown above. I wanted the sentiment in the center and the tiny images surrounding it.

Lastly I finished the card by stamping tiny images with Grass Skirt and Versafine Sepia. This card is screaming 'fall', right!

Like it? Grab it before it sells out!

VINTAGE CHRISTMAS SCENE | SIZZIX LIFESTYLE

Hello everyone! I love making this type of cards - artsy, colorful, little vintagy and with touch of  picture book style. I questioned myself why always cars carry Christmas trees, why not mopeds? The idea of Mopeds carrying Christmas tree lead me to make this card. Please check my old video - Car Carrying a Christmas Tree. :)

CARD DETAILS

I started by die-cutting the Moped and Evergreen Bigz Dies out of Canson water color paper with the help of Bigshot Express Machine. Then I water colored the die-cuts with Candid Apple, Vintage Photo and Peeled Paint distress inks. Once the die-cuts were dry, I assembled them with Tacky Glue.

I took Canson water color paper as my base and ink smooshed the background with Broken China Distress Ink. I also added splatters of Broken China and Vintage Photo Distress Inks. I didn't want the paper to soak up all the ink splatters completely so I blotted the excess, this resulted in getting a faint dull background which I was expecting for. Then I sponged some Vintage Photo Distress Ink at the edges of the panel for a defined look.

Then I adhered all the die-cuts over the panel, I tied the tree to the Moped with a twine as if the Moped was carrying the tree. Finally added splatters of white paint for some snowy effect and also added ground to the Moped with the same white paint. Lastly I finished the card with a die-cut sentiment called 'Joy'.

MERRY CHRISTMAS | SIZZIX LIFESTYLE

Hello my dear crafty friends! How are you all? :)

Today I have a sweet Christmas Card for you. I've used the 'cat' die-cut from Sizzix Halloween Thinlit Die Set many times now and I don't know why I am very fond of it. I'm not a cat person but this cute cat stole my heart. I wanted to use and include it in each and every make I do! Do you have any stamp or die-cut that you like the most? Please let me know in the comment section below! :D

Products from Sizzix Lifestyle

How I made this card
  • I started by die-cutting the Canson Water Color Paper with the cat from Halloween Set, gift and Christmas tree from Festive set and colored them with Distress Inks.
  • Next I placed one of the Oval Framelit die over the card stock and partially die-cut the window.
  • I distress colored the window panel with Dusty Concord Distress Ink. I added splatters of water and white paint for some snowy effect.
  • Inside the window I distressed Worn Lipstick Distress Ink.
  • And adhered all the elements with Tacky Glue.
  • Finally stamped the sentiment and finished the card off.
And that's all for today. Thank you so much for visiting. Please visit sizzix.co.uk blog to know more details and what's happening and what's new over the blog! ;)
