'DEER' THANKS CARD

Hello everyone! How are you all? I hope you are staying safe!

Today, I have a very cute watercolor card for you. Let's start..

CARD MAKING DETAILS

  • I started by loose watercoloring the smaller panel with Craftangles Liquid Water Colors
  • Once it's dry, I added splatters of the same colors and a hint of black
  • On the other hand I stamped the deer from Amuse Studio in Archival Jet Black Ink and watercolored it
  • Once the deer image is dry, I fussy cut and foam mounted on the watercolor panel
  • Then I took a baby pink card stock by Sizzix, folded in half which comes to an A2 sized card
  • Over the main card base, I adhered the watercolor panel
  • I embellished the card with some shiny stars and glitter to the deer
  • Finally stamped the sentiment from Catherine Pooler Designs in Archival Jet Black Ink

And that finishes the card for today, I hope you like it. Thank you so much for visiting.

If you are interested in purchasing my cards or you want them in bulk, kindly mail to deeptistephens@gmail.com I will be happy to make cards for you! :)

  12. Black and Gold Inks
  13. Sizzix SideKick Machine

  15. Acrylic 400 gsm Watercolor Paper

CARD MAKING DETAILS

I started by applying Papericious Gesso on a pattern paper (Countryside by Craftangles) and placed the stencil (Damask Delight) and applied Silver Glimmer Paste through it. Once it's dry, I applied Ripe Plums water color over the stenciled part with the help of a paint brush. I also added splatters of black and gold inks.

On the other hand, I die-cut the butterfly by Sizzix, I used watercolor paper for diecutting and the diecutting part was done with the help of Sizzix Sidekick machine. I watercolored the butterfly with the same Ripe Plums ink and applied Gold Glitter to it.

I stamped 'thanks' on a scrap paper with Versafine Ink and heat embossed with Gold embossing powder. Now it's time to assemble everything! The pattern paper with Gesso and Stenciled part was adhered on 4 1/2 x 5 inch card. I foam mounted the butterfly on the card front, beneath that a gold thread was adhered. Then foam mounted the sentiment as well.

And that's all for today. I hope you like it. Thank you so much for stopping by. #stayhomestaycreative

CASOLOGY #366 | ZODIAC

Hello everyone! Welcome back. Today's cue word at CASology is Zodiac. I was born in August so I'm a Leo. Hence the card. :) And the sponsor for this week is Stamplorations.

I've tried something new in my life i.e., Line Art. It's looks very complicated but once you get a hang of it, it is very easy. If you're not sure, start with a pencil and then move onto the marker. I did like that only. I have a Pinterest board dedicated for Line Art, if you are interested go check it.

I started with a line art first and then stamped the script from Catherine Pooler Designs with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink. Finally finished the card with a sentiment from Craftangles. This is a one layer card and the line art Lion is my focal image.

I hope you like it and I would like to see your beautiful cards in the gallery. Stay Safe! :)

CASOLOGY CHALLENGE | REPEAT

Hello everyone! Today is my very first day and this is the first post for CASology Challenge where the cue word is 'Repeat'. I'm so happy that I'm finally a team member of my favourite challenge blog. :D

CARD MAKING DETAILS

For my today's card I used the Wonky Triangle Stencil and Perfect Blend Stamp Set, It's a Boy Ink, Be Mine Ink and Something Borrowed Ink by Catherine Pooler Designs.

I placed the stencil on a standard sized card base and applied Be Mine Ink through the stencil with the help of an ink blending tool.

I wanted that 'Repeat' pattern only at the centre of the card. Beautiful design is revealed when the stencil is removed.

I took a few stamps from Perfect Blend Stamp Set. This is almost a one layer card. I thought these stamps would do justice to the card design.

I stamped the mug with It's a boy ink then added detail with Something Borrowed ink and the coffee with Versafine Sepia Ink.

I also stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set and fussy cut the images and kept aside.

I added tiny black ink splatters to pull the overall card design.

I foam mounted the images and I watercolored the ground for the mug.

A few shots for you..

And that's all for today. I hope you like it and I hope you guys would take part along the challenges. Have fun dear friends. :)

GUEST DESIGNING CASOLOGY

Hello my dear lovely friends! How are you doing? :)

I'm super happy to share my CASology's guest designing project with you all. I've won one of their challenges (#334) way long back but couldn't find time to guest design. But yeah! finally I'm all set to share my project to the world. Thanks a ton to Melissa for her patience, I really really appreciate that. <3

So the cue word for today's challenge is 'Dragonfly'. I was very hesitant at first as I don't have any dragonfly stamps or die-cuts in my stash.

Then I've gone through the dragonfly watercolor images over Pinterest and Google Images and came to a conclusion, yea! let's paint!!

Painting this dragonfly took me forever but I enjoyed the process. I'm a beginner and I will always be a beginner and I love being a beginner, you know! ;)

To add the magical feel to it, I added splatters of black, gold and silver paints. And I LOVE it! :D

I used Craftangles Liquid Watercolors and the sentiment is from Catherine Pooler Design's called You did it stamp set.

I hope you like my little watercolor card. Have fun! ;)

MARCHING LEAVES CARD | CATHERINE POOLER DESIGNS

Hey everyone! Did you know there is a Fall Sale going on at catherinepooler.com. You can check all the products HERE. Grab them before they're gone!!

Today I'm back with trio of Marching Leaves Card. Yep! it's a stencil by Catherine Pooler Designs called Marching Leaves. I did tone on tone stenciling on my cards today. :)

(I am a part of their affiliate program. This means that I receive a small commission when products are purchased through links I share here (at no additional cost to you). Kindly support me by clicking through these links when you shop. Thanks so much.)

CARD DETAILS

I started by masking the edges of the cards with washi tape then ink blended the backgrounds with Lucky Clover, Chipped Sapphire and Seedless Preserves distress inks with the help of an ink blending tool and foam. Then I placed the Marching Leaves stencil and applied the same inks to the respective cards. That creates a tone on tone background. Simple, right? ;)

I die-cut 'congrats' word die from Spot On Dies through Sizzix Sidekick Machine and adhered over the card front. Before adhering the word die I added splatters of black paint for the beautiful result. :)

I hope you like the cards. I'm entering this card for CAS on Sunday Challenge #163 - Use a die cut word(s) on you card. See you soon! :)

FALL SALE AT CATHERINE POOLER DESIGNS!! | YOU ARE MY HOME CARD

Hello everyone! Good morning!! :) Did you know there is a Fall Sale going on at catherinepooler.com. You can check all the products HERE. Grab them before they're gone!!

I was in total fall mood last night, I really wanted to create something different than my usual style and colors. I thought a simple one layer card with fall colors would do the job. By it's looks, this card is complicated but it's just a one layer card design with masking, ink blending with splattered background.

CARD DETAILS

I started by stamping and masking (check the video link HERE) the pumpkins from Autumn Blessings Stamp Set to create a pumpkin patch. This pumpkin is a solid stamp so I dabbed Tiki Torch Ink followed by Tutti Frutti Ink to the edges of the pumpkin to create a dual color effect. This is called Ombre Stamping, you can check the video link HERE.

Once the pumpkin patch was created, I masked the edges of the card and blended the background with Lime Ricky Ink. The sentiment was stamped from the same stamp set on a strip of cardstock and adhered to the card front as shown above. To add more details and texture, I added splatters of black ink and adhered sparkly stars. :)

CARDS MADE WITH SOA TROPICAL TREASURES | CATHERINE POOLER DESIGNS

Hello everyone! How are you doing? Did you know The Tropical Treasures is available at catherinepooler.com? This is such a lovely and beautiful release that you shouldn't want to miss out! There is still time to hop along the Insta Hop, Blog Hop and Video Hop for your chance to win a $25 GV to CP Store. Here I have a couple of cards to share with you, Enjoy :)

The first one is a one layer card with simple stamping. I stamped the leaf image and sentiment from Leave Me in Paradise and Pineapples and Smiles stamp set with Lucky Clover Distress Ink and CP's Midnight Ink respectively.

Then I added splatters of black and gold inks to enhance the beauty of the card design.

Here comes the second card which I made for CP's Instahop.

I colored the pineapple stamp from Pineapples and Smiles Stamp Set with watercolor brush pens.

Then I spritz water on the stamp and stamped on the card base. This created a beautiful floral watercolor background.

I also added splatters of black paint, stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set - fussy cut it and foam mounted on the card front along with some gold twine. :)

I hope you like these cards and got inspired. Here is the list of supplies I used in today's post.
