FIVE SIMPLE BIRTHDAY CARDS FOR MEN WITH SIZZIX GEOMETRIC MASK THINLIT DIES

Hello my dear lovely crafters, how are you?

Today I have not one or two but five cards to share with you all. These are all the Simple Birthday Cards for men in our lives. Be it your father or your brother or your husband or your boy friend or just anybody, these cards would be absolutely perfect for them. I really kept it simple as I don't want to add any bling or embellish it with any shine as this would be for men ;) I used Sizzix Geometric Mask Thinlit Die to make my cards.

visit sizzix.co.uk & sizzix.com for more inspiration and education.

CARD DETAILS

I started by simply selecting the card stock colors for my cards. I have already planned the card designs a couple of days ago so it was easy for me to execute the design.

This Geometric Mask thinlit die set contains five thinlits. I ran each thinlit die with the selected card stock through the BigShot Plus Machine.

By the way I used Sizzix Card Stock as my panels. Once my die-cuts are ready, I adhered them over the card front with Tacky Glue.

I felt something was missing in this card so I hand drew a couple of lines with the black permanent marker.

This card is already looking like a cupcake, right? Oh yeah! You can use those die-cuts as clouds as well. :)

And this one is my favourite among all. The background was created by running the dotted thinlit die through BigShot Machine several times.

Once I adhered all the panels, I added splatters of black ink to some cards and I didn't add the splatters for the rest.

Once the splatters dry, I stamped and foam mounted the Birthday Sentiments to the cards.

A SIMPLE VINTAGE STYLED CHRISTMAS CARD | SIZZIX | VIDEO

Hello my dear lovely crafters! How are you all?

Welcome back to a new blog post. Today's card is little bit different than my usual card making style. I always prefer making single layered or simple cards but I wanted to try something different and I realised I also love making this kind of cards. It's so relaxing to try something new everyday, right. For my card I used Funky Festive Thinlit Dies by Sizzix designed by TimHoltz. :)

visit sizzix.com and sizzix.co.uk for more education and information.

CARD DETAILS

I started my card making process by die-cutting the Poinsettia and other floral dies by running through the Sizzix SideKick Machine with Sizzix textured card stock.

Then I applied Vintage Photo Distress Ink to the edges of the die-cuts for more dimensional and vintagy look.

For the background, I ruffled a pattern paper and highlighted the ruffles with Vintage Photo Distress ink. This created a very beautiful backdrop for the card.

I took another panel smaller than the main card base, tore one of the edges, distressed the other edges with Sizzix Distressing Tool and applied Vintage Photo to match the card's color combo. I also adhered the red card stock to the torn side.

I stamped Merry Christmas with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and adhered all the die-cuts with Tacky Glue. For the details of the flower, I added gold paint to the center of the flower. Finally I added splatters of gold followed by white paint to the whole card design for some whimsical snowy look.

I have filmed a TimeLapse Video for you, Enjoy!

FALL/AUTUMN THEMED CARD | SIZZIX

Hello my dear crafty friends! How are you doing?

Welcome back! Today's card is going to be a simple water colored die-cut card made in Fall/Autumn themed. The beautiful die-cuts are from TimHoltz collection called Funky Festives by Sizzix. Please visit sizzix.co.uk and sizzix.com for more information and education.

CARD DETAILS

This is going to be a simple one. Okay. Firstly, I started die-cutting all the foliage dies through Sizzix SideKick Machine with heavy weight white card stock.

It's been very long since I used Koi Water Colors on my projects, I wanted to use them badly so here I am. I water colored the die-cuts in fall themed color combo.

I also water colored the backdrop of the card with some yellows and oranges. And I let the panel dry completely, I let the die-cuts also dry completely.

After adhering die-cuts to the card front, I added splatters of black and gold paint for that awesome look and finished the card with a sentiment from CP Designs.

I'm entering this card for Simon Says: Fall/Autumn. And that's all for today and thank you so much for stopping by. See you soon! :)

COUNTRY CANINES ON LANDSCAPE BORDER | SIZZIX

Hello my dear crafty friends, welcome back! :)

Today I have a card with Country Canines on Landscape Border. These are the names of the respective dies I used in this project. Pretty cool, huh? These dogs are looking smart with their Jackets, hat and boots on. Visit sizzix.co.uk and sizzix.com for more education and inspiration.

CARD DETAILS

This card design is very simple, I didn't want to add anything christmasy as the card design itself speaks about Christmas :D

I die-cut the dogs out of Sizzix Card Stock with Sizzix SideKick Machine. These are the thinlits from Country Canines.

I paired them with accessories to look ever more smarter.

I also die-cut the Landscape Border thinlit die with Sizzix Card Stock through SideKick Machine. To give life to the card, I attached light yellow card stock behind the windows and doors. This added so much depth to the card, right?

I adhered the Landscape Border over the card front and also adhered the dogs as well.

Added splatters of white pigment ink to mimic the snow. Also stamped the sentiment from CP designs in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

And that wraps up today's post. I hope you like the sweet little card. :)

ALMOST ONE LAYER BEST WISHES CARD | LAWN FAWN

Hello there everybody! Welcome back..

Today's post is another version of my previous card design. Previous one was multilayered but today's one is almost single layered. Let's begin.

CARD DETAILS

Nothing fancy or complicated!! I ink smooshed the background with Vintage Photo Distress Ink with the help of an acrylic block. Once it's dry I added splatters of the same ink and gold paint. And I let panel dry completely.

I stamped the feather from Lawn Fawn Dream stamp set and colored with gold paint, stamped the sentiment from Stuck on You stamp set by Lawn Fawn, cut it into a strip.

I adhered a piece of burlap, adhered the stamped image over it and foam mounted the sentiment strip. Finally embellished the card with a few steel sequins.

I hope you like it. I'm entering this card for AAA CAS Game #150 - One Layer + Optional Twist Autumn and CASology Week 353: FEATHER

BEST WISHES CARD | LAWN FAWN

Hello my dear crafty friends, welcome back.. :)

The colors that hit my mind when I think of Autumn or Fall is the Muddy Earthy Tones. For my whole card I used only Vintage Photo Distress Ink and Gold Paint. I don't have any autumn themed Lawn Fawn stamps in my stamp so I decided to use the feather from Dream Stamp Set as my leaf. Cool, isn't it? Let's start, shall we?

CARD DETAILS

I started by ruffling the pattern paper from Inspired by Stamping and added Vintage Photo Distress Ink to the highlights of the paper. I did the job with the help of an ink blending tool and foam. You can see the torn edges.. that adds so much interest to the card design. Then I adhered the ruffled pattern paper to the main card base.

Next I took another thick card stock which is smaller than the main card base and acrylic block ink smooshed the background, the ink used was Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Once it is dry, I added splatters of the same ink and gold paint. To the edges of the panel I added gold paint.

Then I took another smaller panel, distressed the edges with a distressing tool by Sizzix and adhered on top of the card. I also added burlap to it.

I stamped the feather or leaf with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and colored in with Gold Paint. I foam mounted the image on the burlap panel.

I also stamped the sentiment, it's from Stuck on You by Lawn Fawn, cut into a strip and adhered on top beneath the image. I also embellished the card with a few clear and steel sequins.

And that finishes the card for today. I was very much inspired by Audrey Pettit's Card shared on Ranger Ink Blog. But I've added my own twist to it. I hope you like it. I'm entering this card for LAWN FAWNATICS CHALLENGE 61: AWESOME AUTUMN

HAPPY HALLOWEEN | SIZZIX

Hello and welcome back! I usually don't celebrate Halloween and it's not my thing at all but I like making cards with Halloween stuff like stamps, dies, stencils and etc.. You can check my previous post about Happy Ghosts Card HERE. I got this crazy idea, the ghost coming out from the pumpkin, as soon as I saw the Bigz Happy Halloween Die by Sizzix. I made this card several weeks ago and hadn't got  a chance to publish it as our house was filled with guests. Hence here is the card for you, I hope you like it :)

CARD DETAILS

The Sizzix card stock is highly textured and rich in look, I picked a few colors that are very close this season i'e., blue, green and orange. I ran the die through the Bigshot Plus Machine.

I distressed the edges of the background with Chipped Sapphire and Vintage Photo, pumpkin with Vintage Photo and the ghost with Black Soot and Vintage Photo Distress inks. I ran one of the dies from Geometric Mask Set through SideKick Machine with Black Card Stock. That would become the base for the Pumpkin.

I adhered all the elements and created a scene as if the ghost is coming out from the Pumpkin. Also adhered a sentiment strip on top of the card.

To add more depth and to add beauty to the card, I added clear star sequins. Do you like it?
