GUEST DESIGNING CASOLOGY

Hello my dear lovely friends! How are you doing? :)

I'm super happy to share my CASology's guest designing project with you all. I've won one of their challenges (#334) way long back but couldn't find time to guest design. But yeah! finally I'm all set to share my project to the world. Thanks a ton to Melissa for her patience, I really really appreciate that. <3

So the cue word for today's challenge is 'Dragonfly'. I was very hesitant at first as I don't have any dragonfly stamps or die-cuts in my stash.

Then I've gone through the dragonfly watercolor images over Pinterest and Google Images and came to a conclusion, yea! let's paint!!

Painting this dragonfly took me forever but I enjoyed the process. I'm a beginner and I will always be a beginner and I love being a beginner, you know! ;)

To add the magical feel to it, I added splatters of black, gold and silver paints. And I LOVE it! :D

I used Craftangles Liquid Watercolors and the sentiment is from Catherine Pooler Design's called You did it stamp set.

I hope you like my little watercolor card. Have fun! ;)

MARCHING LEAVES CARD | CATHERINE POOLER DESIGNS

Hey everyone! Did you know there is a Fall Sale going on at catherinepooler.com. You can check all the products HERE. Grab them before they're gone!!

Today I'm back with trio of Marching Leaves Card. Yep! it's a stencil by Catherine Pooler Designs called Marching Leaves. I did tone on tone stenciling on my cards today. :)

CARD DETAILS

I started by masking the edges of the cards with washi tape then ink blended the backgrounds with Lucky Clover, Chipped Sapphire and Seedless Preserves distress inks with the help of an ink blending tool and foam. Then I placed the Marching Leaves stencil and applied the same inks to the respective cards. That creates a tone on tone background. Simple, right? ;)

I die-cut 'congrats' word die from Spot On Dies through Sizzix Sidekick Machine and adhered over the card front. Before adhering the word die I added splatters of black paint for the beautiful result. :)

I hope you like the cards. I'm entering this card for CAS on Sunday Challenge #163 - Use a die cut word(s) on you card. See you soon! :)

FALL SALE AT CATHERINE POOLER DESIGNS!! | YOU ARE MY HOME CARD

Hello everyone! Good morning!! :) Did you know there is a Fall Sale going on at catherinepooler.com. You can check all the products HERE. Grab them before they're gone!!

I was in total fall mood last night, I really wanted to create something different than my usual style and colors. I thought a simple one layer card with fall colors would do the job. By it's looks, this card is complicated but it's just a one layer card design with masking, ink blending with splattered background.

CARD DETAILS

I started by stamping and masking (check the video link HERE) the pumpkins from Autumn Blessings Stamp Set to create a pumpkin patch. This pumpkin is a solid stamp so I dabbed Tiki Torch Ink followed by Tutti Frutti Ink to the edges of the pumpkin to create a dual color effect. This is called Ombre Stamping, you can check the video link HERE.

Once the pumpkin patch was created, I masked the edges of the card and blended the background with Lime Ricky Ink. The sentiment was stamped from the same stamp set on a strip of cardstock and adhered to the card front as shown above. To add more details and texture, I added splatters of black ink and adhered sparkly stars. :)

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you soon! ;)

SIZZIX | PLANTER CARD | MAKING VIDEO

Hi everyone! Welcome back, how you are doing?

CARD DETAILS

It's been a while since I played with Camlin Brush Pens. I have made a video for creating backgrounds with brush pens and you can watch the video here. So today I wanted to try something new or a different watercolor technique with these pens today.

The technique is simply apply the colors and then add water. That's when the magic happens! All the colors mix together and give a beautiful result. I think I've seen a video but I'm not sure or am I just assuming?? Please, if you come familiar or come across to a video like this, leave the link below..

To die-cut the dies I used my sweet tiny SideKick Machine by Sizzix. I adhered all the die-cuts over the card front with Tacky Glue once they are dry.

I also painted the ground as I don't want my plants to float in the air. I felt the card was missing something so the black splatters. The sentiment stamp was from Catherine Pooler Designs called Pineapples and Smiles.
