Beautiful One Layer Floral Cards | Stamp of Approval

Hello everyone! I'm quickly popping in to share two cards made using the stamps from Stamp of Approval Collection and the inks from Catherine Pooler Collection.

A few days back I watch a video on Simon Says Stamp YouTube channel - Yippee for Yana, where she shared a simple stamped floral wreath one layer cards. (Huge thanks to Simon Says Stamp for bringing such awesome episodes) After watching the video I had a great desire to create one. Yana is one of my favourite card-makers and I benefited a lot by watching her videos. Here is one of my older cards Case-ing Yana :)

CARD DETAILS

I started by stamping the sentiments from Lovely Flowers on a White and Kraft card Stocks in Midnight Ink. Next I stamped the flowers and leaves from The Perfect Reason Stamp Set in Flirty Fuchsia, Something Borrowed, Tiki Torch, Tiara, Grass Skirt, Aquatini, Fiesta Blue and Lime Rickey  forming a wreath!

Lastly I finished my cards by adding tiny little black dots with a permanent marker and a few clear sequins. And that's all for today. I hope you liked it. Thanks for visiting!

Party Time!!

Hello everyone! I'm here with another card made for A Blog Named Hero where the theme is CAS.
From now on wards I will be adding a new feature in my blog posts called ' A Little Story Behind the Card.' I love creating scenes and little stories on my cards, I hope you'll like it :D

A Little Story Behind the Card

These two little guys are very fond of beer so they are peeping through the window and dreaming of having it. They are so enjoying the essence of it, you can tell that by looking at their faces ;)

That finishes the card for today and I hope you liked it. Thanks so much for stopping by. See you again soon! :)

Adding Interest to the Negative Die-cut Spaces | Video

Hi everyone! I really like this pattern paper from Do crafts - Papermania. I usually don't use a lot of pattern paper on my projects. My card making style is simple and minimalistic! I was very much inspired by one of my old cards about neighborhood so I wanted to recreate the same concept or theme but with a different card design. I used my all time favourite TownHouse dies from Sizzix.co.uk. :)

CARD DETAILS

Making this card was so easy and fun. I cut the pattern paper to the size of the card base, placed all the cute house dies and sent this sandwich through the BigShot Express Machine. Once the die-cutting part was done, I inked the background with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink and spritzed some water with mini mister and picked up the excess with a tissue paper.

By doing so, it not only adds water color effect but also adds interest to the negative spaces of the die-cut panel. Then placed the positive piece inside the negative space as a guide to adhere all the tiny little details.

I finished the card by stamping a sentiment on a strip of white card stock and by adding a few clear sequins here and there!

VIDEO DETAILS

I have filmed a video for you where I have shared everything in detail from start to finish. I hope you'll enjoy watching my video.

Love Birds

Hello everyone! Did you check the newest challenge at A Blog Named Hero - CAS? I had these stamps from Hero Arts and Jane's Doodles - but never had a chance to use them properly! At last I pulled out these stamps and made a card + video for you!

I started by stamping all the images with Catherine Pooler Midnight Ink on a piece of standard white card stock. The birds are celebrating their love by standing on glass full of drink. (don't ask me anything about drinks, I never had it before!) I water colored the images with Camlin Water Color Pens and added shimmer with Wink of Stella Pen.

Then adhered the stamped panel onto the main card base that has Washi Tape. I love how this card turned out. Also entering this card for CASology Week 236: ROMANCE :)

I have filmed a video for you, kindly watch it below or at my YouTube channel to know how I put this card together. Thank you :)

Honey Bee Stamps | Hi Sweetheart

Hello everyone! How are you guys doing? This week has been a really busy one for me, working on an upcoming event - Catherine Pooler's Stamp of Approval The Perfect Reason Collection. You will definitely love this collection for sure! You can learn more about this event HERE

Okay! If you follow Honey Bee Stamps blog you might have already seen my card. If you haven't then this one is for you! :)

I recently purchased a couple of Copic Markers in Prawn and Lipstick Red. These colors are very vibrant and the ink flow is really very smooth. Now I understand why people are crazy about these markers! I may add more markers to my collection in future, my idea is to have atleast two shades of color in each family. :)

CARD DETAILS

  • I took a standard sized white card stock and ink blended a tiny portion over the card with Chipped Sapphire. Spritzed some water and picked up the excess with a tissue paper.
  • Next I stamped the gorgeous floral image with antlers (Hello Gorgeous) on a piece of white card stock with Catherine Pooler’s Midnight ink.
  • I colored the few images with Prawn Copic Marker, fussy cut it with a pair of scissors.
  • Before adhering the stamped image onto the card base, I stamped the sentiment with the same black ink then adhered the stamped image right below the sentiment with foam tape
  • Finally finished off my card with a few star sequins and added wink of stella clear to the flowers.

I hope you like it. I'm entering this card for Simon Says: The Color Of Love. See you next time! :)
