100% HANDMADE CARDS | DOODLING

When I first started my crafty journey I had no stamps or inks! I dreamt of stamps, inking them and stamping and etc. Oh! I would never forget those days! And now I have a very decent amount of stamps and inks and other supplies which I never dreamt of and I am very grateful to GOD for all his blessings and I am thankful to all the lovely and beautiful people who had filled my stash with their beautiful RAKs :)

When I don't have any DT or GDT or other commitments I doodle to relieve my stress levels. Not a little doodling, a lot. I always carry heavy weight white card stocks and pouch full of coloring mediums with me where ever I go. I first start with a pencil, then trace it with black permanent marker and then color it in with my favourite coloring medium.

Inspiration is everywhere! I easily get inspired by everything! LOL! I write down my ideas, sketches, colors and inspiration in a book and then I implement it on my cards. A few work and a few doesn't!

I love being simple and my simplicity reflects on my cards. This time I tried a little Calligraphy too. My husband is my best critic, as soon as he saw it, he said 'wow! good job'. So he liked my calligraphy skills (hehe) too. And I was like 'meh' (just kidding)

Once the doodling and coloring part was done, I fussy cut all the images and place in a book or in a box. Whenever I feel like 'no mojo or bored or depressed' I open the book/box and lay them on my desk and watch them for few minutes. I appreciate myself for the job that I've done! LOL! Sometimes we have to love ourselves, encourage ourselves, appreciate ourselves and push ourselves, Right?

I watch a lot of YouTube videos! My favourite thing to do while watching videos is doodling or embroidering. The lady who constantly inspires me is Sea Lemon and this wood pattern idea was from hers!

I am very fond of fox images, I don't know why!? When I was a kid I very much loved seeing the books and cartoons which had Scandinavian Patterns and Russian Folk Art designs. That impact had on me and till date if I see something like that my heart just skips! LOL..

Hmmn.. I think that's enough for today, LOL! So these are 100% HANDMADE CARDS and I love making them! :D

I hope you like these cards. If you want to see more like this let me know, I would like to share with you!

FUNNY EASTER CARDS | SIZZIX LIFESTYLE

Do you like making funny cards! Basically, I'm a very fun loving person. I usually open up my views and thoughts to the people those who are very close to me. I often don't speak to people much, I wouldn't say that I am an introvert but.. I don't know, may be! :P

I made these funny Easter Cards for Sizzix Lifestyle using their Spring Animals Bigz Die. I also used Distress Inks for my projects.

Dies - Spring Animals
Die-cutting Machine - Big Shot Plus
Distress Inks - Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed and Peacock Feathers
Other Ink - Archival Jet Black Ink
Stamp - Happy Little Stampers, Birthday Friends

Oh! this chicken is laying an egg and happily sighing 'whoops' with those smiley eyes! :)

HOW I MADE THIS CARD
  • Started the card by ink smooshing the panel which is smaller than the main card base with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink
  • I die-cut the hen from white card stock and ink smooshed it's body with Mustard Seed and the wing with Spiced Marmalade
  • I hand drew the egg and smooshed it with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink
  • I adhered the ink smooshed panel over the main card base and also adhered the hen over it.
  • I placed the egg at an angle to create an illusion that the hen is laying! LOL
  • Finally stamped the sentiment from Happy Little Stampers - Birthday Friends with Archival Jet Black ink, drew a speech bubble around the sentiment, fussy cut it and adhered at the top of the card.

Die-cutting Machine - Big Shot Plus Machine
Distress Inks - Black Soot, Picked Raspberry and Chipped Sapphire
Ink - Archival Jet Black Ink
Sentiment stamp - Skipping Stones, Sassy Cats

Does his butt look big here?? I think so! hahaha

HOW I MADE THIS CARD
  • The procedure was similar to the above card.
  • I used Chipped Sapphire, Black Soot and Picked Raspberry Distress Ink to ink smoosh the background and the die-cuts repectively
  • I adhered and foam mounted all the panels over the card base
  • And adhered the sentiment strip over the die-cut

And that's all for today. See you tomorrow with more cards. Thanks for visiting! :)

My card features the stamps, stencil and dies from SOA - Counting Blessings Collection

I started by applying Ranger Texture paste through Marching Leaves Stencil on main card stock and let the panel dry for sometime. I stamped the leaves from Leaf Motifs and and water colored with  Rockin' Red and Orange Twist Inks. Yes! You can absolutely do water coloring with those inks.

Next I die-cut a tag from Kraft Card Stock with Tags, Etc. Dies and popped it over the main card base. Before adhering over the main card base, I heat embossed the sentiment from Leaf Motifs with Wanderlust Embossing Powder by WOW. Also tied a white string through the hole.

I stacked the leaves at the bottom of the tag and embellished it with few clear sequins. I hope you like the card. I'll be back tomorrow with few more cards. Thanks for visiting :)

THREE CUTE EASTER SPRING CARDS | SIZZIX LIFESTYLE

Hello everyone! How are you doing? Today's projects are going to be the cutest and they are very simple to make. My cards feature Spring Time Thinlit Die from Sizzix Lifestyle. These dies are great for making both Spring and Easter Cards/projects. I did some simple copic coloring to my die-cuts, I have a very few collection of Copics and I love working every bit of bit. :)

Products from Sizzix Lifestyle

I die-cut the dies from white card stock, colored them with copic markers. 'The bunny (standing) is balancing and bringing a pot of Easter eggs to his friend who is waiting near the floral bushes!' ;)

All the die-cuts were colored with copics and adhered over the ink (peacock feathers distress ink) blended panel. I did some Reverse Die-cutting

Look how I colored the die-cuts! Yep! I did dimensional coloring with copics. I hope you like them. Thanks for visiting :)

COLORFUL CITYSCAPE | SIZZIX LIFESTYLE | VIDEO

Hi everyone! Do you like these colorful buildings? This funky dies are from Sizzix Lifestyle - Timholtz, Cityscape Metropolis die set. I previously made a card + video using Cityscape, Suburbia dies. You can check the card HERE.

Products from Sizzix Lifestyle

CARD MAKING DETAILS

The first step was, die-cutting all the thinlits from white card stock. I want my buildings to be colorful so I chose some colorful copic markers to color my buildings. I placed a bright yellow card stock behind the buildings and this acts as lights.

Love the background? I ink smooshed the background with Black Soot Distress Ink, added two to three layers of colors and also added splatters of black and white paint to achieve that grungy look.

I added nice coat of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter to the buildings and also added silver dots using Silver gel pen to one of the buildings (blue). Once it's dry I adhered all the buildings on the ink smooshed panel.

I die-cut the word 'hello' out of white card stock (Spring Time Set) and adhered on top of the card.

And the final step - adhering the ink smooshed panel over the main card base. That's it! :)

WATCH & ENJOY

I've also made a video for you and I hope you'll enjoy watching it! :)
