A FLORAL CARD

Hello everyone! I hope you guys are safe and well. #stayhomestaysafe. Today I have a very feminine floral card for you and the sentiment on this card was 'dope'. Many are living a life just to impress people, I don't want to be that kind, I want to inspire people. There is a quote on Pinterst which I love the most - 'I want to inspire people, I want someone to look at me and say because of you I didn't give up'. How awesome, right?

I'm striving and working my ass off to achieve my dreams and goals. My prayers will never go in vain. I know HE gives me everything at the right time. I just keep saying and remembering this verse from Bible - 'Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time' 1 Peter 5:6. This gives me so much strength and courage and again I say to myself - 'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me' Philippians 4:13.

MY CARD MAKING DETAILS

This card is a 'One Layer Card with Masking Technique.

  • I started by masking a portion on the card front with masking paper and stamped the flower (from Cherrylana Designs) and masked it as well. Learn more about MASKING TECHNIQUE HERE.
  • I ink blended the background with Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Inks.
  • To create a beautiful night sky, I added splatters of water and white paint.
  • Then I water colored the image with Faber-Castell Connector Pens. If you're curious about how I did water coloring with those pens CHECK HERE.
  • I also colored the stamens with gold pen.
  • Finally finished the card with a beautiful inspiring sentiment from Cherrylana Designs

And that's the project for today and I hope you like it. I would like to enter this card for the following challenges.

CASOLOGY CHALLENGE #367, MAGICAL

Hello my dear friends! I hope you are safe and sound. Welcome to another CASology Challenge, this week's cue word is 'Magical'. Wow! the word itself sounds so magical! :D We literally need a magic to happen during this pandemic. Let's hope our days will be filled with full of sparkle again. :)

The sponsor for this week is Uniko.

I used a kraft card stock for a change, colored the lovely fairy image from Craftangles with Faber-castell Bi Color Pencils. Have I done a good job at coloring? Let me know in the comments. ;)

I have another card with the same design but some how I wasn't satisfied the way it turned out so I ended up making another one with kraft card stock. The ink I used on this card was Versafine Sepia Ink. I hope you like the cards.

Thank you so much for stopping by and also don't forget to play along with CASology Magical Challenge. Happy Paper Crafting. Stay Safe! :)

'STAY HOME STAY SAFE' SIMPLE MIXED MEDIA CARD WITH PICTORIAL

Hello my dear crafty and non crafty friends! How are you guys doing? I hope you are safe and sound at your homes. #StayHomeStaySafe

Today I wanted to share a 'simple mixed media card' which I've been longing to. I don't know why my heart is drawing towards warm and pastel shades and a grungy look. I also like using bright colors on my cards but I prefer being more pastel. If you like Mixed Media and if you are a beginner, this post would be helpful for you.

MY CARD DETAILS

I started by drawing a house on the card front and cut it using Sizzix Multi Tool.

Then I adhered this pattern paper, from PaperMania, to the card front.

I flip it over and did as shown above :P

This is how the card looks from front.

Then I applied a wash of white gesso by Papericious.

I stamped the images from Mudra's Critter Party in Versafine Sepia Ink and water colored with Faber-Castell Pens.

Fussy cutting done!

Onto this panel, I applied a water wash of gold pigment paint.

I also colored the cheese cloth with the same pigment paint.

I let the panel and cheese cloth dry for sometime. Meanwhile I adhered this bright yellow card stock by Sizzix to the main card base.

I adhered the cheese cloth over it.

And placed this panel over it.

Finally I adhered the animals as shown above and also added few splatters of black paint. For the sentiment I used alpha stickers by 'Creative Retreat' phrasing 'Stay Home'.

A FEW MORE SHOTS FOR YOU

I created a scene - these animals love to stay at home during this pandemic, by adhering the animals half inside and half outside. And I wanted that bright yellow color peek through the house. I added little details to the alpha stickers to pop on the busy background.

I hope you like the card and I hope you feel inspired. Thank you so much for stopping by and I'll see you next time :)

Sending Birthday Wishes | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello everyone! I almost forgot to share the card that I made for Honey Bee Stamps (yep I was on their design team). Here is the super gorgeous floral card made using Happy Everything and Country Wreath stamp sets.

I took a white card stock masked off the top and bottom portions and ink blended the back ground with Spun Sugar and Antique Lenin Distress Inks.

Next I stamped all the beautiful flowers and leaves from Country Wreath stamp set in Archival Jet Black Ink on a piece of regular white card stock and water colored those images with Faber-castell Connector markers (VIDEO). Next I fussy cut all the images and adhered it as shown above.

Next I applied generous coat of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen to the flowers. I made my custom colored card base by applying gold paint along the edges of the card base!

And adhered the floral panel on top of the card base and finished it off with clear sequins. And that's it. I hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by. See you soon! :)
