WATER COLOR TROPICAL BIRD CARD | SIZZIX LIFESTYLE

Hello my dear crafty friends! How are you all? Today I have a very beautiful water color Tropical Card and this card features Sizzix Tropical Bird and Sizzix Dainty Upper Case Thinlit Dies by Sizzix Lifestyle. I did a little experiment with colors by adding various water colors to the die-cuts. And I achieved what I desired for! Also I love that pun sentiment. Yes! Toucan do it!! LOL.

I started by die-cutting the Sizzix Tropical Bird Thinlit Die from Canson Water Color Paper several times. I applied a little water to the die-cut and added different shades of green, blue and yellow to the leaves.

I applied the same technique to the flowers (shades of pink and yellow) and the bird (shades of black and purple). I fussy cut the bird, the flower and the beak, layered over the previously water colored die-cut. This created a raised up look and added a little dimension.

Over the main card base, I water colored stripes and added splatters of black pigment.

I die-cut the sentiment out of black card stock from Sizzix Dainty Upper Case Thinlit Dies and adhered it.

LANDSCAPE BORDER | SIZZIX LIFESTYLE

Hello everyone! I'm back again with another simple yet colorful card for Sizzix Lifestyle. The above card features Sizzix Landscape Border Thinlit Die and Sizzix Permanent Markers from Sizzix Lifestyle. :)

How I made this card

• I simply die-cut the white cardstock with Sizzix Landscape Border Die and Sizzix Bigshot Express Machine. 
• I colored the die-cut with Sizzix Permanent Markers. 
• Then I water-colored the background with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. 
• Next, stamped the sentiment from A Muse Studio and adhered the die-cut over the card panel with Tacky glue.

MOTHER'S DAY CARD | SIZZIX LIFESTYLE | VIDEO

Mother's Day is just coming and Spring has sprung almost everywhere! So I clubbed both the themes and made a card for my Mom! I celebrate Mother's Day everyday, the sentiment says it all :) My card features Swan Bigz Die and Garden Florals Thinlit Dies by Sizzix Lifestyle. I was inspired by The Ugly Duckling story, it was my favourite since I was a kid. I love how the creators put those expressions on the little Swan and mom Swan faces. Heart touching!! This story always make me cry!

HOW I MADE THIS CARD

• I started making my card by folding the card stock which is not a regular sized one, it's a kind of big card
• I trimmed another panel smaller than the main card base. Both are heavy weight in white
• Next I die-cut the Swan Bigz Die followed by Garden Florals Thinlit Dies through the Big Shot Plus Machine out of the same heavy weight card stock in white
• Next I placed my Craft Mat over my work surface and water colored all the die-cuts with Distress Inks (flowers - Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers, Spiced Marmalade and Peeled Paint / Swan - Antique Linen, Black Soot)
• I water colored the smaller panel also with Spun Sugar
• I gold foiled one of the Swan's wings by Clearsnap
• I doodled a bit on Swan's nose with Copic and black permanent markers
• Finally adhered everything together with Tacky Glue and finished the card with a sentiment from Altenew - Best Mom

FLORAL VALENTINE'S DAY CARD | UNBOXING CHAPTER 1 DIES | SIZZIX LIFESTYLE

Hello everyone! Welcome back. Today I have a beautiful Floral Valentine's Day Card and Video for you. I used Chapter One Dies by Sizzix Lifestyle. I have also shared an Unboxing Video, you can check it HERE or below. Just for a change, I used my colored card stock instead of water coloring the die-cuts. Using colored card stock will save your time and the die-cuts will look pretty already! :)

How beautiful, right? You can easily shape up the leaves and flowers with your fingers.

CARD PROCESSING DETAILS

I started by die-cutting all the elements from Garden Florals out of colored cardstocks. Next I water colored horizontal stripes on a card panel in grey color. By the way, the paper I used for watercoloring is a heavy weight card stock and it holds water very well.

I let that horizontal lines dry completely and later added splatters of black paint for some lovely look and this is my favourite part!

I took sometime to arrange the florals and adhered them with Tacky Glue.

I also adhered the Dainty Lowercase with some Tacky Glue. These thinlits are really very gorgeous!

Finally I adhered the water colored panel over the main card base. And... that's it.

Party Time!!

Hello everyone! I'm here with another card made for A Blog Named Hero where the theme is CAS.

From now on wards I will be adding a new feature in my blog posts called ' A Little Story Behind the Card.' I love creating scenes and little stories on my cards, I hope you'll like it :D  

A Little Story Behind the Card

These two little guys are very fond of beer so they are peeping through the window and dreaming of having it. They are so enjoying the essence of it, you can tell that by looking at their faces ;)

CARD DETAILS

• I took a standard sized white card stock and another panel exactly the size of the main card base
• Then placed the second smallest rectangular frame die from Sizzix and ran it through the BigShot Express Machine
• Onto the main card base, I blended over the portion with Hero Arts Butter to Orange Ombre Ink with an Ink Blending Tool and Ranger Round Foam
• Next I stamped the cute Cat and Pig from Hero Arts Baby Animals and the Mug from Jane's Doodles Cheers Set in Archival Jet Black Ink
• And I water-colored the animals with Spiced Marmalade and Picked Raspberry Distress ink and the Mug with Black Soot and Spiced Marmalade 
• I added a wash of Black soot ink beneath the mug just to give an illusion that the mug has some ground
• I fussy cut all the images. I foam mounted the die-cut panel first over the card base and adhered all the images with Tombow Glue
• Finally stamped the sentiment from Jane's Doodles Cheers Stamp Set in Archival Jet Black and finished the card by adding some star confetti
