STENCILING WITH WATERCOLORS

Hello everyone! Welcome back! Today, I have a trio of stenciled cards with watercolors. It's a kind a stencil tracing where we apply water colors instead of using a marker to trace the stencils. This is such a cool technique and the results will be amazing. For my cards, I used Camlin Brush Pens as my watercolors. I love these pens so much and I've been using them for ages! And I added a twist to the cards by adding handwritten sentiments, yea! :)

CARD MAKING DETAILS

By the way, I went with color theme Fuchsia, Yellow and Grey

Most common thing you'll notice in the cards - One Layer, Splatters, Color Scheme, Stencils, watercolors and hand written sentiment.

This one was my favourites. I placed Craftangles Rainbows and Clouds stencil and traced with watercolors.

On this card, I used Roses All Around stencil by Craftangles

For this I used Autumn Leaves Stencil by Craftangles. You can see the imperfections on this card but it's totally okay with me because it's handmade :P

I'm entering these cards for the following challenges
  1. Less is More Challenge #423 - Fuchsia, Yellow and Grey
  2. CrafTangles Monthly Craft Challenge – July 2020 PATTERNED PAPERS / STENCILS
  3. CAS Mix Up July Stencil Challenge

I hope you liked the cards. If you have any questions kindly leave me a comment below, I shall get back to you asap. Thanks for stopping by. Stay Home and Happy Paper Crafting. :)

BECOME THE CHANGE | SIZZIX

Hello my dear lovely friends, how are you all ? Today I've a simple mixed media card to share with you. After watching so many video tutorials on Mixed Media, I understood the process and I want to share the pretty basic steps with you all if you are new to Mixed Media. So let's start..

PRETTY BASIC STEPS TO CREATE A MIXED MEDIA CARDS

1. Apply Gesso
2. Place a stencil and apply Texture Paste through it
3. Add lots of splatters.

CARD MAKING DETAILS

I started my card making process by applying Gesso by Papericious on Sizzix light blue card stock. This card stock has both textured and smoother sides.

Then I made a paste with the combination of Texture Paste by Craftangles, Blue ink spray by Memento and Distress Glitter. Mixed to a form a nice chunky texture paste, placed Damask Delight Stencil by Craftangles and applied the texture paste through it. I allowed it to dry completely.

This beautiful butterfly die is by Sizzix Butterflies Thinlit die, ran it through the Sizzix SideKick Machine and Sizzix Card Stock. The butterfly is already textured, to enhance it's beauty more I applied Gold Paint. Also added lots of splatters of Gold, blue, black onto the main card base to bring the design together.

I adhered the butterfly with gold string with the help of glue and also adhered sequins in the center. Finally, after so much of thinking, where to place the sentiment, I wrote 'Become The Change' with White gel pen by Sakura on the same card stock and adhered onto the card base.

Yes! You have to 'become the change'. Dust the old things in you, break the chains that's stopping you, dress up and reach for the stars and let the people tell that you are the reason for their change. :)

I hope you liked the card, if you have any questions kindly leave me a comment below. Thanks so much for stopping by. Stay Home and Happy Paper Crafting! :)

WORKING ON SOME SKIN TONES WITH DIFFERENT COLORING MEDIUMS | CRAFTANGLES OCTOBER BLOG HOP

Hello everyone! Welcome to Craftangles October Blog Hop. The theme for this hop was sharing Ethnic cards using new EID/Diwali/People of India from the newly released collection. Here I have used People of India, From all of us, World's Best stamps and Sunburst Stencil from Craftangles. I have used different coloring mediums - Color Pencils, Water Colors and Alcohol Markers on these women. I think they turned out really beautiful. What do you think?

CARD DETAILS

I started by stamping the beautiful image from Craftangles World's Best stamp set with Memento Black Ink on Canson Watercolor paper. Then I colored the image with Faber-Castell Color Pencils. I went with lighter shade first and then moved onto the darker shade. I chose water color paper because of the added texture which is very helpful for the colors to blend while coloring. Don't go too harsh on the paper, start with light strokes and then build up the color.

I took an A2 sized card, placed the Sunburst Stencil and blended in Black Soot Distress Ink through it. Finally Stamped the sentiment from From All of us and finished the card by adhering the colored panel over the main card base.

This one was also similar to previous card design but I used Sizzix Permanent Markers for coloring the image. These are alcohol base so I used an alcohol friendly ink, Memento Tuxedo Black, to stamp the image.

I used People of India, From all of us Stamps and Sunburst Stencil from Craftangles.

This is the last one and also similar to previous cards. I stamped the image in Archival Jet Black Ink which is permanent, water proofed and fast drying, on Canson Water Color Paper and Water colored the image with School Watercolors from Camel.

I used People of India, From all of us stamps and Sunburst Stencil for this card too. :)

I hope you like these cards. Thank you so much for visiting. Take care and I'll see you next time. :)
