ELEPHANT IN LOVE CARD | SIZZIX LIFESTYLE

Hi everyone! It's been so long since I posted anything here. Life has become too busy, when I set up and plan everything for future projects something unexpected will happen then I need to cancel everything and schedule again! That is life!! right?

So I'm here with a beautiful masculine card for Sizzix Lifestyle. I used basic and minimal supplies for making my project. It turned out so handsome! haha!

Products from Sizzix Lifestyle
CARD DETAILS

I started by die-cutting the elephant from Baby Elephant Set out of heavy white card stock and water colored it with black water color. By the way I used Camlin School Water Colors.

I water colored a panel with shades of blue and purple, added splatters of the same color and I let the panel dry completely. Then I ran the panel through the Bigshot Express Machine along with Whoosh Thinlit Die.

Then I adhered all the elements with glue, created a scene as if the Elephant was spraying a heart of stars! ;) I hand drew the landscape out of black card stock and adhered it over the card front. Then I finished the card with a sentiment from Creative Retreat. I also added splatters of black ink for the finished funky look.

I hope you like it. Thanks for visiting! :)

Elephant Family | Sizzix

When I first saw this Baby Elephant thinlit die in my DT kit I knew what I had to do. This die set reminds me of my family. We were five - dad, mom, brother, myself and sister. As you all know that I lost my dad in July, 2016. It's really a very huge loss for us! Still we are not able to come out of that! But somehow we are coping up! :) When we were kids, we had so many beautiful memories like this. Such a Happy Family! I will make two more and give it to my brother and sister.

PROJECT DETAILS

I die-cut the Baby Elephant thinlits out of TimHoltz water color card stock by running the sandwich through the Bigshot Express Machine. Next distress water-colored the die-cuts with Black Soot (Elephants) and Festive Berries distress inks (Balloons and cheeks).

Next I masked the card stock and ink blended the background with Peacock Feathers (sky) and Peeled Paint (grass/ground) distress ink. I added splatters of water for some texture. Once everything was dry I adhered the die-cuts in the above manner with Red Sticky Tape and finished with a sentiment from Technique Tuesday in Midnight Ink. Then adhered the card stock piece onto some cardboard and adhered onto the wall :)
