Dreams Come True!

Hello dear friends! Welcome back to my sweet place! Well.. today I'm here with a fun card made for

I took a water color paper and smooshed the background with Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers and Mustard Seed distress inks. They give a beautiful blend when the water is added and also give us an unexpected color.. like I haven't used any green or orange ink here but you can see the green and orange colors!

Then I took a piece of vellum and hand drew that mason jar with Embossing Pen and heat set it with Gold Embossing Powder. Then placed the jar on the top corner and the traced the outlines of the jar with a pencil and stamped a bunch of butterflies in Archival Jet Black Ink inside the pencil line, just to give you an illusion that the jar was filled with butterflies!

Then I adhered the jar with Tombow glue and stamped the butterflies in Archival Jet Black Ink in different directions as if they were coming out from the jar! Finally stamped the sentiment from Prima on some vellum with Versamark Ink and heat set it again with the same Gold Embossing Powder. And finally added a few sequins from Avery Elle and Lawn Fawn.To the main card base I created a border with Krylon Leafing Pen and adhered this panel to the main card base.. :)

Hope you like this card. Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving me a comment. Take care and I'll see you soon.. :)

  3. You are such a talented artist, Deepti. And this card is so clever. Your placment of the butterflies is perfect, just as I imagine they would be when escaping from the jar. And I love your colors. Thanks so much for joining us at the MMCC this month.
