BRIGHT FALL LEAVES CARD | SIZZIX LIFESTYLE

Hi everyone! I've been missed in action (MIA) for quite sometime due to some other work. I made this Bright Fall Leaves Card for Sizzix Lifestyle. I used Distress Inks only for the background and for the leaves.

Products from Sizzix Lifestyle

CARD DETAILS

I started by ink blending the background with Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink and added splatters of water then followed by white paint and then gold paint and then followed by Chipped Sapphire Ink. It was such a dreamy background to make!

Then I die-cut Tattered Leaves Dies out of white card stock and colored the leaves with Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed and Candied Apple Distress Ink. Then added splatters of white paint and gave some details to the leaves with gold paint.

I made a pocket, stamped the sentiment from CP Designs and heat embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder. Also made a simple knot with some white twine. Then foam mounted the pocket over the main card base.

Then struck the leaves into it. And that is the card for today. I hope you like it! Thanks for visiting! :)

BLESSINGS | CATHERINE POOLER DESIGNS

Hello my dear lovely crafters! How are you doing? :) Today's card is a bit 'one layer card'. The reason behind this card was - we often neglect small stamps from the set and we don't often use them on our cards. So I decided to give them some love by seasoning them on this 'Fall Themed Card' ;)

CARD DETAILS

I started by stamping all the tiny images from Autumn Blessings Stamp Set on a white card stock with Memento Black Ink and colored them with Sizzix Permanent Pens. I used two shades of color for each image and I feel it's more comfortable to use two shades rather than using many shades of markers at a time!

Then I stamped the Pumpkin in Tiki Torch followed by Rockin Red. The technique I used was Rock n  Roll or Tone on Tone or Ombre Stamping Technique. I didn't get the result properly but I liked it! These pumpkins are looking very artsy and they added more interest to the over all card design. :)

I also stamped the bold sentiment from the same set with Versafine Sepia Ink. I fussy cut all the images with scissors and adhered over the card panel as shown above. I wanted the sentiment in the center and the tiny images surrounding it.

Lastly I finished the card by stamping tiny images with Grass Skirt and Versafine Sepia. This card is screaming 'fall', right!

Like it? Grab it before it sells out!

HOW I MADE THESE CARDS

  • I smooshed the ink pads - Tiki Torch, All that Jazz and Party Dress onto the acrylic block and did some loose water coloring over the heavy weight card stock which is smaller than the main card base.
  • I let the panel dry for sometime and added splatters of ink of the respective colors with a paint brush.
  • Once everything was dry, I stamped the bold sentiments from Good Things Stamp Set in Midnight Ink.
  • At the very bottom of the panel I adhered double sided tape and gold foiled it.
  • Then I foam mounted the panel over the main card base.

And that's all for today. The Counting Blessings Collection is available in the shop. Please visit catherinepooler.com for more details.

My card features the stamps, stencil and dies from SOA - Counting Blessings Collection

I started by applying Ranger Texture paste through Marching Leaves Stencil on main card stock and let the panel dry for sometime. I stamped the leaves from Leaf Motifs and and water colored with  Rockin' Red and Orange Twist Inks. Yes! You can absolutely do water coloring with those inks.

Next I die-cut a tag from Kraft Card Stock with Tags, Etc. Dies and popped it over the main card base. Before adhering over the main card base, I heat embossed the sentiment from Leaf Motifs with Wanderlust Embossing Powder by WOW. Also tied a white string through the hole.

I stacked the leaves at the bottom of the tag and embellished it with few clear sequins. I hope you like the card. I'll be back tomorrow with few more cards. Thanks for visiting :)

CHRISTMAS CARD | CATHERINE POOLER DESIGNS

Hello my dear lovely crafty people! How are you doing? My husband has recovered well by the grace of God. He is still on sick leave and will get back to work next week. :) I had this card design on my mind for quite sometime and finally I was able to put my ideas into action. To make this card I used the products from Catherine Pooler Designs.

NOTE : Geo Trio Stencil and Tags, etc. dies are from Stamp of Approval Counting Blessings Collection which is sold out at the moment but the stock will be back very soon! So keep an eye on shop.catherinepooler.com.

Card Project Details

I started by folding the Kraft card stock into an A2 sized card base. Then I took the beautiful Tag,Vine Die and tiny circle dies and die-cut out of Kraft, White and Red card stocks respectively with the help of Big Shot Machine.

I placed the stencil over the die-cut tag and applied Ranger Texture Paste through it and allowed it to dry completely. Mean while I colored the leaf vine die-cut with Peeled Paint Distress Ink and added splashes of water for some beautiful result.

While the die-cuts were drying I went ahead and stamped the sentiment from Hip Holiday in Picket Fence Ink Dauber. Fussy cut it and kept aside!

Finally I wrapped a white twine around the tag and adhered all the elements together with foam tape and glue. I hope you like this card. Thank for visiting! :)

Be the Best version of you | Catherine Pooler Designs

Hello everyone! Today I have two cards to share with you all. Here is the first one! I used Bloomin' Boutique Stamp Set from latest SOA Counting Blessings Collection and Midnight Ink on my card. These Stamp of Approval/ SOA boxes sell out quickly but do not worry these items will be for sale in the Catherine Pooler shop on an individual basis in a few months The shop turned one so today is the last day to earn double points on your order! Click here to check out the shop.

I started by stamping and masking the flowers in Antique Linen Distress Ink and pencil colored the images with Faber-Castell color pencils. It took me four hours to complete the whole coloring process, if possible I will make a video and share it with you :)

While coloring the images, I slightly changed the shape of the flower and I think it still looks pretty cool! I also added shading to the solid images i.e., leaves! :)

Once the coloring process was done, I added tiny droplets of black and white paint to enhance the beauty of the design.

I forgot to mention, before stamping the flowers, I die-cut a water colored panel (canson montval 300gsm) with scalloped edged die from Tags, etc.dies by Catherine Pooler Designs.

Finally I adhered the die-cut panel over the brown card stock and adhered the brown card stock over the white card base. And finished the card by stamping the beautiful sentiment from Bloomin' Boutique.

Here comes the second one! For this I used - Everyday Mod Stamp Set, It's a Boy Ink, Midnight Ink, Fiesta Blue Ink, CP's Card Stock and Leaf Motifs stamp set (counting blessings) collection.

I started by stamping the diamond background stamp in It's a boy ink and filled the few other diamond areas with CP's midnight ink. Then I took another small panel and ink blended the portion with Fiesta Blue Ink and added tiny droplets of water for some water color look.

I stamped the leaf from Leaf Motifs in Midnight Ink, fussy cut it and adhered over the small panel. Then stamped the sentiment from Everyday Mod Stamp Set. Finally adhered the smaller panel over the main card base and finished it with a few clear sequins :)

I hope you like these cards, thanks for visiting! :)
