PERMANENT PENS | SIZZIX LIFESTYLE

Hi everyone! Just a quick post for today. Do you like my coloring? My card mainly features the recently released Sizzix Accessory - Permanent Markers by Sizzix Lifestyle. These pens come in a package of 12 assorted colors which are really yummy and colorful. You can easily blend them and the results are lovely. This is a 'must have' for any crafter! :)

HOW IT WORKS

I have a simple step by step pictorial for you to understand how easy it is to blend the colors. These are just like alcohol markers so you would definitely need an Alcohol friendly Ink and a nice paper which doesn't bleed through!

First, I stamped an image with alcohol friendly ink. These pens have broad and fine tips. To achieve a beautiful blended look, you should go light over the image with the lightest shade.

Then you should go with the darker shade on the desired area and blend the darker shade with the lighter shade.

Look! How beautiful it is! The colors just blended very smoothly but I need some more practice! :D

I like how this card turned out! So pretty! These markers were in my recent kit from Sizzix Lifestyle. I will definitely share with you the Unboxing video and the markers in work video very soon. So stay tuned! ;)

PIN this beauty! LOL

And also you still have time to play along with the current challenge at Create Something Catchy Challenges. Thank you :)

MOTHER'S DAY CARD | SIZZIX LIFESTYLE | VIDEO

Mother's Day is just coming and Spring has sprung almost everywhere! So I clubbed both the themes and made a card for my Mom! I celebrate Mother's Day everyday, the sentiment says it all :) My card features Swan Bigz Die and Garden Florals Thinlit Dies by Sizzix Lifestyle. I was inspired by The Ugly Duckling story, it was my favourite since I was a kid. I love how the creators put those expressions on the little Swan and mom Swan faces. Heart touching!! This story always make me cry!

HOW I MADE THIS CARD
  • I started making my card by folding the card stock which is not a regular sized one, it's a kind of big card
  • I trimmed another panel smaller than the main card base. Both are heavy weight in white
  • Next I die-cut the Swan Bigz Die followed by Garden Florals Thinlit Dies through the Big Shot Plus Machine out of the same heavy weight card stock in white
  • Next I placed my Craft Mat over my work surface and water colored all the die-cuts with Distress Inks (flowers - Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers, Spiced Marmalade and Peeled Paint / Swan - Antique Linen, Black Soot)
  • I water colored the smaller panel also with Spun Sugar
  • I gold foiled one of the Swan's wings by Clearsnap
  • I doodled a bit on Swan's nose with Copic and black permanent markers
  • Finally adhered everything together with Tacky Glue and finished the card with a sentiment from Altenew - Best Mom

SET OF CARDS | LAWN FAWN

Hello everybody! Look at this set of cards! This set shows the continuous tree line and slanty road and the movement of the car. This card features and highlights Home for the Holidays and Dream stamp sets from Lawn Fawn. I did lot of masking in the background, did copic coloring and also did some water coloring. And the sentiment is from Technique Tuesday. :)

HOW I MADE THESE CARDS

  • I took three card panels of same size and drew a slanting line with a ruler and pencil on three of them
  • I made two masks for trees (I used feather as trees and this is from Dream stamp set) and stamped it along the line
  • I also stamped the cute car from Home for Holidays set thrice on a piece of card stock
  • I colored all the images with Copic Markers
  • To add some definition, I water colored the background with green and blue for sky and brown for the road
  • Next I fussy cut all the car images with a pair of scissors and adhered as shown above
  • Finally stamped the sentiment and adhered the card panel over the main card base
  • By the way, I used heavy weight card stock and school water colors to color the background

WATERCOLOR FLORAL CARD | ALTENEW

I'm getting back to my good old times again where I write down all the interesting challenges, make a card according to the theme, submit the project and wait for all the beautiful comments. I really love and miss those days! :)

My card features Best Mom and Adore You stamp sets by Altenew. I tried No Line Water Coloring with Camlin Brush Pens. What do you think about my card? Special thanks to Sindhu Prajay for the beautiful stamps! :)

HOW I MADE THIS CARD

  • I started by stamping the floral image on a heavy card stock in London Fog Ink Momento
  • I tried No Line Water Coloring with Camlin Kokuyo Brush Pens, these are water based
  • Then I fussy cut the image with a pair of scissors
  • I took a card panel smaller than the main card base and I did some loose water coloring in the background with the same markers in pink and also added splatters of pink and purple inks
  • Once everything is dry I went ahead and adhered the floral panel at an angle on the smaller panel
  • Next stamped the sentiment from Adore You stamp set in Archival Jet Black Ink
  • And finally embellished the card with white sequins.
