Originally the pop up house thinlit die is meant for making pop up cards but I used it in a different way. Watch the video above to learn how I made it.

I kept the card front simple as there was so much going inside! And that 'Merry Christmas' was handwritten.

BRR-FECT CARD

Hi everyone! I'm here with a card made for few challenges. The stamp set I used here was from Paper Smooches - Chilly Chums. This card was inspired by one of my older card designs. :)

CARD DETAILS

I simply started by masking a portion on a A2 top folding card with a masking paper and applied Peacock Feathers Distress Ink with the help of ink blending tool. Then I stamped the skull cap, masked it and stamped the seal image with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Then colored the skull cap with Sizzix Alcohol Markers and also added a little blush to his cheeks. Finally finished the card with the sentiment from the same stamp set.

ELEGANT LEAF CHRISTMAS CARD | SIZZIX LIFESTYLE

Hello everyone! This beautiful and elegant Christmas card was made using the products from Sizzix Lifestyle. The name of the leaf is Elegant Leaf Thinlit Die. This is kind of vintage looking card which I absolutely like creating them. Oh! did you see that glitter?? That glitter added so much definition to the overall card design. :)

Products from Sizzix Lifestyle

CARD DETAILS

I started by folding the card base to an A2 card size and cut another panel smaller than the main card base. I distressed the edges of the smaller panel with a distress tool and ink blended the main card base with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Added splatters of water on the smaller panel for that dreamy or snowy or christmasy background.

Then I die-cut the Elegant Leaf  thinlit die out of white card stock with the help of Sizzix Side Kick Machine and colored the leaf with Peeled Paint Distress Ink followed by Vintage Photo. Then I applied glue on few places over the leaf and sprinkled the fine gold glitter. Also added twine and embellished with a gold sequin.

Finally stamped the sentiment from Lawn Fawn's Toboggan Together Stamp Set and heat embossed it with Ranger Gold Embossing Powder. :)

HEY GIRL CARD

Hi everyone! It's been a while since I played along any challenges. So thought why not make cards and enter for challenges. So I am here with a one layer (almost) card where I've used very minimal supplies. The beauty of one layer cards with minimal design lies within the card base, the more textured, the more beautiful your card looks.

I started by folding an A2 sized card panel in half. This beautiful colored textured card stock is from Sizzix Lifestyle. They have a wide range of colors! So pretty and beautiful. Onto that card base I adhered alpha stickers from Creative Retreat and I foiled with gold foil from Clear Snap for that elegant girly look!

MASKING TECHNIQUE - PART TWO CREATING A GROUP | VIDEO

Hello my dear crafty friends! As promised, I am back with part two video in Masking Technique Series. Click HERE for part one where I've shared a brief introduction to Masking Technique. In today's post I would like to share how to create a group of anything with this technique. Here I have three cards for you, one with video and the other two cards with photos. I hope you like them :)

MASKING TECHNIQUE

PART TWO

CREATING A GROUP

CARD DETAILS

I started by stamping the trees in It's a girl, Melon Ice and Sweet Sixteen Inks, then masked them with a masking paper and stamped again the trees in Mint to be, It's a boy and Bellini Inks.

I used For Everything Stamp set from CP designs and all the inks are also from CP ink collection. Finished the card with splatters of black ink and with a stamped sentiment.

On this card, I stamped the cute mug from For Everything Stamp set in Flirty Fuchsia, masked the mug and stamped the image in Pixie Dust, masked again and stamped in Sweet Sixteen Inks.

All the stamps and inks I used here are from Catherine Pooler Designs. I added splatters of black ink and finished the card with the sentiment.

On a A2 top folding card, I masked off the edges with a thin washi tape and ink blended the background with Carved Pumpkin Distress Ink.

For a dreamy background, I added splatters of water followed by black ink.

While the panel was drying, I stamped the cute fox image from Paper Smooches called Chilly Chums in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, masked him off and stamped the foxes on either side of the previously stamped fox.

I colored the images with Sizzix Permanent Markers. Before foam mounting the foxes on the card front, I stamped the sentiment from the same set.

And that's all for today. I hope you like it. See you soon with the part three where I'll be sharing how to create a scene with Masking Technique. Take care and I'll see you next time :)

BIRD HOUSE PROJECT | SIZZIX LIFESTYLE

Hi everyone! Welcome back! Today's project is going to be a DIY Christmas room decor project. It is very beautiful and easy to make. Christmas is just around the corner so projects like this would easily spice up your room. I made it just in twenty minutes and all the products I used here are from Sizzix Lifestyle. :)

Products from Sizzix Lifestyle

BIRD HOUSE PROJECT DETAILS

I started by die-cutting the largest circle framelit die from Sizzix Framelits Die Set 8PK - Circles out of light blue card stock with the help of Sizzix Bigshot Express Machine. Then I distressed the edges with Sizzix Accessory - Multi-Tool and applied Vintage Photo Distress Ink to the edges of the circle.

I die-cut the Sizzix Aviary Bigz Die and leaves from Sizzix Festive Thinlie Dies out of white card stock and colored them with Candied Apple, Peeled Paint and Vintage Photo Distress Inks.

I die-cut the roof of the bird house from felt just to mimic the snow.

I adhered all the elements over the circle panel with glue. Then I applied glue to some areas on the project with a paint brush and sprinkled some white glitter. This white glitter is so smooth and soft,  just like snow! Love it.

Finally finished the card with some twine. That's the project for today. I hope you like it. See you soon with another project! :)

MASKING TECHNIQUE - PART ONE SIMPLE MASKING | VIDEO

Hi everyone! Welcome back. Today I would like to discuss about one of my favourite stamping techniques - Masking Technique. This is such a beautiful technique that adds so much depth and dimension to one layer card designs. It creates an illusion that one image is standing  behind the other.

This is going to be a four part video and blog post, here I am with part one where I will be discussing or giving you a brief about 'Simple Masking'. If you are a beginner this video and blog post is for you. For this whole Masking Technique you'll need a masking paper or masking tape or washi tape or post it notes or any thin or copy paper.

Masking Technique

Part One - Simple Masking

In this blog post I will be showing you four ways of Simple Masking. So let's start!

CARD DETAILS

Card #1

For the first card design, I masked off a portion with a broad washi tape and stamped the image. This cute ghost image is from A-muse Studio called Ghostly Greetings. Then I stamped the same image on masking paper and then fussy cut it and adhered over the previously stamped image and blended in Wilted Violet Distress ink.

Then I removed all the washi tape and added splatters of Black Carbon Art Spray by Craftangles. I finished the card with the sentiment from the same stamp set.

Card #2

On the second card, I drew a shape on a piece of masking paper. Then fussy cut it and adhered over the main card panel. And the rest of the card design was similar to the previous card design.

You can customize the design the way you wanted to. Halloween is already over but I wanted to share this cute stuff with you all. I hope that is okay! :) Here I used Black Soot Distress Ink.

Card #3

The third way to mask your card is by using stickers. Any shaped stickers will do the job.

Here I used Alpha Stickers from Lawn Fawn. You can also mask the background of the card with washi tape or masking tape.

Card #4

After all the cute gloomy cards here comes the most bright, beautiful and colorful card of the day. I ran one of the dies from Perfect Vines Die by Catherine Pooler and masking paper through Sizzix Sidekick Machine.  Then I masked all the edges of the card front with a thin washi tape and then I masked one of the portions of the card with the die-cut. Then I blended in Candied Apple and Carved Pumpkin Distress Inks.

It's always so nice and satisfying to watch removing all the masks off. Then added splatters of black paint and finished the card with the sentiment from Leaf Motifs by Catherine Pooler Designs

I hope you like these cards. See you soon with the part two video where I'll be sharing with you 'how to create a group of anything with Masking Technique. Thank you so much for visiting! :)
