'DEER' THANKS CARD

Hello everyone! How are you all? I hope you are staying safe!

Today, I have a very cute watercolor card for you. Let's start..

CARD MAKING DETAILS

  • I started by loose watercoloring the smaller panel with Craftangles Liquid Water Colors
  • Once it's dry, I added splatters of the same colors and a hint of black
  • On the other hand I stamped the deer from Amuse Studio in Archival Jet Black Ink and watercolored it
  • Once the deer image is dry, I fussy cut and foam mounted on the watercolor panel
  • Then I took a baby pink card stock by Sizzix, folded in half which comes to an A2 sized card
  • Over the main card base, I adhered the watercolor panel
  • I embellished the card with some shiny stars and glitter to the deer
  • Finally stamped the sentiment from Catherine Pooler Designs in Archival Jet Black Ink

And that finishes the card for today, I hope you like it. Thank you so much for visiting.

If you are interested in purchasing my cards or you want them in bulk, kindly mail to deeptistephens@gmail.com I will be happy to make cards for you! :)

STENCILING WITH WATERCOLORS

Hello everyone! Welcome back! Today, I have a trio of stenciled cards with watercolors. It's a kind a stencil tracing where we apply water colors instead of using a marker to trace the stencils. This is such a cool technique and the results will be amazing. For my cards, I used Camlin Brush Pens as my watercolors. I love these pens so much and I've been using them for ages! And I added a twist to the cards by adding handwritten sentiments, yea! :)

CARD MAKING DETAILS

By the way, I went with color theme Fuchsia, Yellow and Grey

Most common thing you'll notice in the cards - One Layer, Splatters, Color Scheme, Stencils, watercolors and hand written sentiment.

This one was my favourites. I placed Craftangles Rainbows and Clouds stencil and traced with watercolors.

On this card, I used Roses All Around stencil by Craftangles

For this I used Autumn Leaves Stencil by Craftangles. You can see the imperfections on this card but it's totally okay with me because it's handmade :P

I'm entering these cards for the following challenges
  1. Less is More Challenge #423 - Fuchsia, Yellow and Grey
  2. CrafTangles Monthly Craft Challenge – July 2020 PATTERNED PAPERS / STENCILS
  3. CAS Mix Up July Stencil Challenge

SMALL WATER COLORED MIXED MEDIA CARDS | UNDER WATER THEMED | SIZZIX

Hi everyone! How are you? Today I have a slightly different project for you. I love mixed media but I wanted it to be simple. I watched many video tutorials but nothing caught my eye and I thought everything was too much for me until I found this channel on YouTube - Susanne Rose Art. Her simple mixed media art really inspired me to take courage in creating these lovely little cards but I definitely gave my twist to it. Her videos are perfect for beginners like me :D

MY CARD MAKING DETAILS

  • I started by die-cutting the cute Crab and Starfish thinlit dies by Sizzix called Under the Sea out of white cardstock through Sizzix SideKick Machine.
  • I took small sized cards, gave a dark blue water color wash to the background.
  • I also water colored the die-cuts in Yellow, Orange and Red.
  • I let the cards and die-cuts dry completely.
  • Once they are dry , I adhered news print pattern paper as shown above.
  • I also gave a wash of Gesso by Papericious.
  •  Also added splatters of blue, white and nude water colors to mimic under the sea.
  • Finally I adhered the cute things, the sentiment was hand written and finished the card with a twine.

Very simple, right! If possible I shall share a video with you making cards in my own version. I love using news print and text on my projects also.

I'm entering this cards for Daring Card Makers Inky Background Challenge and Craftangles Anything Goes Challenge. I hope you like my project. Thank you so much for visiting and I'll see you next time.

CASOLOGY #364 - TEA

Hello my dear lovely friends! How are you all? It's been quite sometime, right? How things going at your end? Mine was very monotonous! I try to implement new things and explore but I keep getting stuck somewhere in life. But I know something good is going to happen very soon and the Lord my God will never leave my hand. :)

So today's challenge at CASology is to interpret the cue word 'tea'. My take on this cue word is, our neighbour, who is a lawyer, loves gardening and I see her plant tiny beautiful plants in bowls, bottles, tea cups, mugs and etc. Whenever I see her blooming garden, my hearts really jumps out of joy and the peace of God surrounds me all over. I thank and praise my Lord God for creating all things beautiful.

Since I was away from my home, I had a few supplies left with me like water colors, heavy card stock and paint brushes. So I decided to paint a tea cup with beautiful flowers and hand written the sentiment with black permanent marker.

It would be nice if you played along the challenge and we love having you and we love to see your beautiful work! The sponsor for this week is Stamplorations. So hop along and have some fun! :)

MOST FEMININE BIRTHDAY CARDS

Hello everyone! Welcome back. Today I have a trio of most feminie birthday cards in the line. These cards are really easy to make because these flowers are the elements from Craftangles watercolor floral pack. You can fussy cut them and adhere over the card front. Easy, right?

CARD MAKING DETAILS

I started my card making process by fussy cutting the watercolor florals from Craftangles Watercolor Floral collection. Fussy cutting is very therapeutic, don't you agree?

I gave a simple water color wash with Black Berry Liquid Water Colors by Craftangles. I diluted the color to get that grey shade.

I also added splatters of black ink.

I also added that grey water color to the white spaces to match the background of the card.

That's it, I finished the cards with the sentiments from Craftangles called Fairies and Little Princess with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

a few more shots for you

I hope you liked the cards. Thank you so much for visitng. See you soon and Happy Paper Crafting.

PEACE, LOVE, LAUGHTER CARDS | SIZZIX

Where there is 'Peace' there is 'Love'. Where there is 'Love' there will be 'Laughter'.

Hello everyone! Welcome back! Today I have a couple of beautiful cards for you made using the products by Sizzix.

Please visit sizzix.co.uk blog for more information and education.

Sizzix Products Used

  1. Sizzix Sidekick Starter Kit (White & Gray)
  2. Sizzix Clear Stamps - Everyday Sentiments
  3. Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 3PK - Decorative Edges
CARD MAKING DETAILS

I have chosen this beautiful 'Decorative Edges' thinlit die set and selected two of those and ran through the Sizzix Side Kick machine. The card stock I used was white.

I water-colored the die-cuts

and added shadows and details whereever necessary.

Then I took another couple of panels smaller than the main card base and distressed the edges with Carved Pumpkin and Dusty Concord Distress Inks.

My cards are incomplete without splatters of ink so I added that!

Once the splatters are dry, I went ahead and stamped the sentiment from Sizzix Every Sentiments with Versafine Sepia Ink.

Then adhered the decorative edge strips to the card panels.

Then adhered the card panels to the main card bases. And it's done!!

A few more close up shots for you

Thanks for stopping by today. Have fun :)
