I usually don't make cards for Easter but my little nieces are coming to our town and I want to give these cards to them. I know they both will get excited! :) I used Playful Bunnies from Mudra and the Studio G stamps for my project (lovely RAK from my friend).
CARD DETAILS
I started by ink blending the background with Dusty Concord Distress Ink and with the help of ink blending tool and Ranger mini round foam. I went heavy handed at the top and light handed at the bottom. This creates a beautiful Ombre effect. I am so in love with this purple color and I feel like I wanted to use this color on all of my projects.
I added splatters of water with my mini mister and blotted the excess water with a tissue paper. This creates a beautiful texture to the background. Next I stamped all the images with Catherine Pooler's Mignight Ink. This ink is archival, permanent, fast drying, water proofed, super balck and excellent for any type of technique.
To fasten up the coloring process, I distress colored the flowers with Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed and Peeled Paint with the help of sponge daubers. I left the bunnies uncolored as it pops against the bright purple background. I fussy cut all the images with Kaisercraft Precision Scissors, I left a little white border around the bunnies and cut the flowers along the edge of the line.
Finally I adhered all the images with Tombow Glue and adhered sequins from Mudra - Sugar Plum Mix and Yellow - and stamped the sentiment with the same Midnight Ink. I added shimmer to the flowers and bunnies with Wink of stella clear pen.
VIDEO DETAILS
I have filmed the video for you and I hope you'll enjoy watching it :)
And that's all for today. Thanks for visiting! :)
