BOLD ONE LAYER CARD | CATHERINE POOLER DESIGNS

This color combo is very new to me and I think I didn't use these colors on my card before, I guess so!! This card was inspired by one of the cards I made a while ago. You can check that card HERE. All the products I used to make this are from Catherine Pooler Designs Stamp of Approval Naturally Inspired Collection.

(I am a part of their affiliate program. This means that I receive a small commission when products are purchased through links I share here (at no additional cost to you). Kindly support me by clicking through these links when you shop. Thanks so much)

CARD PROJECT DETAILS

I started by inking up and stamping the solid feather stamp from Birds of a Feather Stamp Set  with Tiki Torch, All That Jazz and Tutti Frutti inks by Catherine Pooler Designs.

These are such gorgeous colors and I think these would be great for both boys and girls.

Then I inked up the bold BEST sentiment from Simply the Best stamp set in Midnignt ink and stamped over the previously stamped image followed by the Friend stamp. I love that crisp, clear and clean impression which always comes with Catherine Pooler inks when stamped!

I also added splashes of black paint to enhance the beauty of the design. I hope you like it and I also made a video for you, enjoy! :D

Today I'm helping CP to celebrate their release and for restocking Naturally Inspired Collection. Here is the card I made using that collection.

CARD PROJECT DETAILS

I started by ink blending the background with Bellini Ink. Then stamped over the ink blended panel with scripty kind of stamp from Birds of a Feather stamp set with the same Bellini Ink

I die-cut the flowers/leaves from Wild Garden Die set out of white card stock and colored them with Pixie Dust, Lime Rickey and Rockin' Red Inks, added splatters of water for some lovely water color effect.

Next I stamped the sentiment from Simply the Best stamp set in Midnight Ink. Adhered all the plants with Tacky glue and finished my card by adding few sequins and stickles.

I have also made a video for you. I hope you'll like it. Thank you so much for visiting. :)

Multi Water Color look with solid stamps | Catherine Pooler Designs

Hello everyone! I am back from vacation, just came in the morning! I will be back to my daily routine very soon! Here is another card made using Catherine Pooler's Stamp of Approval Naturally Inspired Collection.

The technique I used here was - Stamped Water Color Images / water color look with solid stamps. Yes! you can achieve a beautiful water colored image with solid stamps.

I started by inking up the beautiful leaf from Wild Garden in It's a Girl, Pixie Dust and Lime Rickey inks. Then I spritz some water with a mini mister and stamped it onto the card base. This creates a beautiful three toned water color leaf. I stamped the images with the same technique thrice forming a visual triangle. Once the card panel was dry I went ahead and added tiny splatters of black paint to enhance the beauty of the design.

Once everything was dry, I stamped the sentiments from Birds of a Feather and Simply the Best stamp sets in Midnight Ink. Finally I finished the card with a few clear sequins. This is a very simple yet beautiful card. I love this water color technique (water color look with solid stamps) a lot. I hope you liked it too. Thank you so much for visiting. :)

Smile | SOA Naturally Inspired Collection

I've been into water color mode lately and I must say I am very much obsessed with it and enjoying every bit of it. I have a very few water color mediums, among them Distress Inks are one of my favourites! :) By the way the stamps I'm using today are from the latest release of Stamp of Approval - Naturally Inspired Collection

How to achieve water color look with Solid Stamps:

There are two ways to achieve this look

1.  Ink up the solid image, spritz some water and stamp onto the paper. This is one of the easiest ways to achieve water color look instantly.

2.  Second way -  Smoosh the ink pad onto the acrylic block, pick the ink up with a wet paint brush, apply the pigment onto the stamp, huff a little and then stamp!

I applied the second technique here. I applied Festive Berries and Peeled Paint Distress Inks on one of the flowers from the Wild Flowers Stamp Set and stamped it onto the paper. I love how this card turned out. So beautiful! :)

Once the water color image was dry I added tiny splatters of black paint and stamped the sentiment from Medallion Mix Up stamp set. I added Star Dust stickles onto the berries (you can see it in first and second pics). I hope you like it. Thanks for visiting. :)

I made several cards with this beautiful collection but today I will be showing you two cards and in the next coming days I will show you more! I will try to make more and more cards with this collection :)

This card features Birds of a Feather and Medallion Mix-up stamp sets.

inks used - rockin' red and midnight

I inked up the beautiful feather and spritzed some water and stamped repeatedly on the card base. Stamped the message on a die-cut circle and wrapped and tied a simple knot with white twine.

This card features Wild Garden, Simply the Best stamp sets and the Best Die.

I applied the same technique for this one also as mentioned in the above card. Die-cut the word best and sponged the ink at the bottom and adhered it onto the card base. Also stamped the sentiment beneath the die-cut as well.

Make sure to leave a comment on each blog because Catherine is giving away one of the Naturally Inspired Stamp of Approval collections for EACH day of the hops.   That is 3 boxes!  The more times you comment, the more chances you will have of to win!
