Trick or Treat | Sizzix Lifestyle

Hello everyone! I am into a kind of Mixed Media and Vintagy mode lately and I don't know why! ? Anything grungy is attracting me. I am dreaming of those colors. May be, I guess that's the spirit of Halloween! LOL! So I am here with a kind of grungy card made for Sizzix Lifestyle with the brand new Halloween dies collection by TimHoltz called Trick or Treat.

Project Details

I started my card design by ink blending the Canson Montval Water Color Paper with Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap Distress Ink and added splatters of water for some awesome look. Next I die-cut all the images from Trick or Treat set through Big Shot Express Machine.

I used Brown, Orange and Black colored cardstocks for my die-cuts and adhered them over the card panel. Once I am happy with the placement I applied Star Dust Stickles here and there onto the die-cut images.

Finally I adhered the card panel over the main card base. This is not an A2 card, it's a kind of long top folding card ;)

Soft Love Card | Catherine Pooler Designs

Today I have a very soft love card for you. This card looks pretty good in real. I think the photo didn't do justice! ;) By the way, the products I am using today are from Catherine Pooler Designs.

PROJECT DETAILS

I started by prepping the card stock with Anti Static powder tool and inked up the Modern Damask Background stamp with Versamark ink and poured Silver Embossing Powder by Ranger and heat set it with Heat Tool.

Next I applied Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink. I just love how the ink resists the embossed parts! Next I ran the card panel through the Bigshot Express Machine along with Tags etc. dies by Catherine Pooler Designs.

Next I wrapped a regular white twine with a simple knot along with the hand cut tag. The sentiment on the tag is from Beautiful You stamp set, stamped in Midnight Ink. Finally I adhered a golden negative heart die-cut from Sizzix and finished my card with a few clear sequins. :)

Witchcraft | Mixed Media | Sizzix Lifestyle

Hello friends! Here is my second proper Mixed Media project made for Sizzix Lifestyle. I used the brand new thinlit dies called Witchcraft and Trick or Treat by Timholtz. This card was inspired by my previous card, you can check it HERE.

PROJECT DETAILS

I started by ink smooshing the background with Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Inks. This card is not  a regular A2 sized card, it's a little bigger and square in shape.

I took a corrugated paper and ran all the dies through the Bigshot Express Machine.(You can find all the dies I used at the bottom of the post)

Next I added some texture to the Witch by applying some glue and pouring on Ranger Glitter. Also applied some gold and black paint to it.

I did the same thing for the cat also. Look how spooky they are!

Once everything was dry I adhered one of the die-cuts from Mixed Media #3 by Timholtz onto the ink smooshed panel, the die-cut was cut out of gold glitter card stock. I adhered the Witch and Cat as well onto the panel.

Next, I die-cut the sentiment from Trick or Treat thinlit dies and applied the same formula as I did for the other die-cuts.

And then I die-cut the stars from Witchcraft thinlit dies and adhered over the card panel. I like how this card turned out, it took me more than an hour to complete! :)

And that is the card for today and I hope you liked it. I am entering this card for Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - It’s Written In The Stars. Thank you so much for visiting :)

Happy Ghosts | A Muse Studio

I am super happy and thrilled to let you know that I am Guest Designing A Muse Studio Blog for the whole month of September. Thank you AMS for giving me this lovely opportunity.

These stamps are best quality rubber stamps and I am loving all the designs. And also they have a wide range of card stock in so many yummy colors. Click HERE to visit their shop. For my project, I used Currant and Sugar card stock and also Ghostly Greetings stamp set.

When I first received their products, I wasn't quite sure about designing the cards because I never had my hands on Halloween Themed Products. I decided to make some spooky yet cute cards, it was quite challenging for me! Then these happy ghosts caught my eye and I didn't stop making cards from then, I took this card as an inspiration for the rest of my card designs. No, they don't look similar, all card designs are different from one another. Kindly visit A Muse Studio Blog to know more details. Thanks for visiting. See you soon :)

Multi Water Color look with solid stamps | Catherine Pooler Designs

Hello everyone! I am back from vacation, just came in the morning! I will be back to my daily routine very soon! Here is another card made using Catherine Pooler's Stamp of Approval Naturally Inspired Collection.

The technique I used here was - Stamped Water Color Images / water color look with solid stamps. Yes! you can achieve a beautiful water colored image with solid stamps.

I started by inking up the beautiful leaf from Wild Garden in It's a Girl, Pixie Dust and Lime Rickey inks. Then I spritz some water with a mini mister and stamped it onto the card base. This creates a beautiful three toned water color leaf. I stamped the images with the same technique thrice forming a visual triangle. Once the card panel was dry I went ahead and added tiny splatters of black paint to enhance the beauty of the design.

Once everything was dry, I stamped the sentiments from Birds of a Feather and Simply the Best stamp sets in Midnight Ink. Finally I finished the card with a few clear sequins. This is a very simple yet beautiful card. I love this water color technique (water color look with solid stamps) a lot. I hope you liked it too. Thank you so much for visiting. :)

Fancy Plaid Background | Catherine Pooler Designs | Video

How about a Fancy Plaid Background this time? My sister gifted me a plaid dress, I thought it doesn't suit me! But after doing a few alterations, it just looked good on me and I'm loving it. So I was inspired by that plaid design and created these cards.

This is such a simple card and you can mass produce them easily. I didn't have a Misti but if you do have one then your job would be much easier than mine! (Inks used - Tutti Frutti and Sweet Sixteen Inks).

(Inks used Aquatini and Tiara Inks). I started my card by stamping the background repeatedly with one of the striped stamps from Yay Stripes Stamp Set in various colors.

(Inks used Rockin' Red and Garden Party Inks). Then onto a white card stock I stamped the sentiment from Hip Holiday (SOA - Candy Cane Lane Collection) in Midnight Ink, fussy cut it and adhered it onto the card front.

Finally I embellished the card with Gold Sequins. I have also created a video for you, watch and enjoy! :)
