Cute Easter Bunnies | Video

I usually don't make cards for Easter but my little nieces are coming to our town and I want to give these cards to them. I know they both will get excited! :) I used Playful Bunnies from Mudra and the Studio G stamps for my project (lovely RAK from my friend).

CARD DETAILS

I started by ink blending the background with Dusty Concord Distress Ink and with the help of ink blending tool and Ranger mini round foam. I went heavy handed at the top and light handed at the bottom. This creates a beautiful Ombre effect. I am so in love with this purple color and I feel like I wanted to use this color on all of my projects.

I added splatters of water with my mini mister and blotted the excess water with a tissue paper. This creates a beautiful texture to the background. Next I stamped all the images with Catherine Pooler's Mignight Ink. This ink is archival, permanent, fast drying, water proofed, super balck and excellent for any type of technique.

To fasten up the coloring process, I distress colored the flowers with Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed and Peeled Paint with the help of sponge daubers. I left the bunnies uncolored as it pops against the bright purple background. I fussy cut all the images with Kaisercraft Precision Scissors, I left a little white border around the bunnies and cut the flowers along the edge of the line.

Finally I adhered all the images with Tombow Glue and adhered sequins from Mudra - Sugar Plum Mix and Yellow - and stamped the sentiment with the same Midnight Ink. I added shimmer to the flowers and bunnies with Wink of stella clear pen.

I have filmed the video for you and I hope you'll enjoy watching it :)

And that's all for today. Thanks for visiting! :)

Back to Basics with Wild Rabbit | Sizzix

Hello everyone! I am here today with a pretty simple, back to basics card! I used very limited supplies to make this card. By the way that gorgeous rabbit is a new one from Sizzix called Wild Rabbit. It's really very intricate and detailed. If possible I would definitely come up with another card design :)

BACK TO BASICS

When I first started card making, I had a very few supplies then. I used to fold the card in half. Adhere a pattern paper or another card panel, adhere an image with a sentiment! Pretty simple, right! So I followed the same procedure here also!

This is not my usual card size. I normally use 5x4" cards, sometimes I go for A2 card size and squares depending upon the type of design. Since this Wild Rabbit was pretty big in size I went with a bigger card size. You can absolutely make quick cards with this thinlit die.

CARD DETAILS

I started by die-cutting the Wild Rabbit from white card stock by running it through the Big Shot Express Machine. Next I ink blended the Rabbit along the edges with Bubble Gum and Butter Cup inks from Mama Elephant.

Next I took a brown card stock, folded into half, adhered a golden washi tape, added splatters of White Pigment Paint and adhered the Rabbit over it. Finally I finished the card off with 'Easter Blessings' Sentiment. :)

**Sometimes you won't get proper ideas about card making and you struggle with it a lot. When you face a situation like this - do not stress out yourself - just go back to the basics! It will ease your mind and gives energy to kick start the day or the rest of the day! :)
