If you have arrived here from Lisa Harrolle blog then you are right on track and your next stop would be Laurel Beard blog

A little about Stamp of Approval or SOA:  Stamp of Approval is a hand picked, exclusive collection of products that were designed just for the box that releases quarterly. This box is full of stamping goodness and they sell out really quickly. So be sure to subscribe to the Wait List so you will be emailed when the collection goes on sale on July 13.

Please head on over to Catherine Pooler’s website (the founder of Stamp of Approval) to sign up on the Waiting Listthis is the best way to make sure you get YOUR Stamp of Approval box. Wait List members will be notified first through email when the box goes up for sale one hour before the collection is released to the general public! So make sure you sign up for the Waiting List so that you don’t miss out on your Stamp of Approval box!

So now let's move on to the cards that I made with beautiful stamps and dies from Stamp of Approval box. :)

My first card features the Lovely Flowers Stamp Set (Catherine Pooler Designs). Hand Painted Thanks (Neat and Tangled) and Lovely Flowers and Dies (Catherine Pooler Designs). I stamped the whole background with tiny dots stamp that comes in Lovely Flowers with Black Soot Distress Ink. The reason why I chose the distress ink for stamping is that I wanted to have that irregular and splotchy and faded look in the background.

Next, I die-cut the banners from Lovely Flowers and dies, colored with the same distress ink and adhered it on to the card base. I adhered a strip of gold washi tape, I love gold details on my cards! Stamped the 'thanks' from Hand Painted Thanks on to some white card stock, fussy cut it and foam mounted it on to the washi tape along with some golden string! I added three golden sequins to compliment the design!

Now let's move on to the second card design! This card is pretty by the way with all the beautiful floras and colors! And this card features Lovely Flowers Stamp Set.

I ink smooshed the background with Peacock Feathers and Seedless Preserves Distress inks. While the panel was drying I stamped all the flowers on a white card stcok with Hero Arts Neon Inks.

I heat embossed the leaves from the set with Gold Embossing Powder. Fussy cut all the images and adhered it on to the card base. I also stamped the sentiment from the same set with Archival Jet Black ink, fussy cut it and adhered it on the floral arrangement!

And now let's move on to the third card and this card features Wonderful Wreath (Catherine Pooler Designs) with a video! :)

This card is very dimensional and involves lots of stamping and fussy cutting! Of course, the previous card also has got lots of stamping and fussy cutting involved. I pulled out the stamps and stamped all the images with Memento Grape Vine, Archival Ink Carnation Red, Versafine Vintage Sepia Ink and Versamark Ink. And heat set the few images with Gold Embossing Powder from Ranger.

I added tiny droplets of gold and black paint on to the background and you can say that it is my signature style :P None of my cards were complete without gold, splatters, glitter and sequins!

And that pretty much finishes the cards for today. I have made a video for you from start to finish showing you how I put the Wonderful Wreath card together. I hope you like it. If you like the video please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to my YouTube Channel

A Cartoony Card / Happy Little Stampers / Video

Hello everyone! It's been a while since I used a colored card stock, I normally don't use the colored ones. To be honest I'm little afraid of using them! But this time I really wanted to try and see how stamping looks on colored card bases. I didn't go for the brighter shade base but I went with a lighter one - Cream Color! I just wanted to keep my card panel plain from colors so I went with the color scheme - Cream, Black and Gray :)

The theme behind this card was 'Friends Come in all Shapes and Sizes but Friendship Stays Forever'!

CARD DETAILS
  • I took a standard sized white Neenah Card stock and folded into half. This time I went with the landscaping card rather than top folding card.
  • I took another panel which is cream in color and it is slightly smaller than the main card base.
  • Next I took stamps from Happy Little Stampers - Birthday Friends and stamped them on the cream panel with Archival Jet Black Ink.
  • Next I stamped the circles randomly from Mix Mash stamp set in gray ink. Actually the ink pad I used is not gray, it's black! I didn't refill the stamp pad and hence the gray color ;)
  • I took my black permanent marker pen and doodled the lines to create a base for my Hippo and Elephant! and also added a few dots here and there with the same marker.
  • I wanted the main card panel to be free from sentiment so I stamped the inside part with Archival Jet Black Ink, sentiment from Whimsical Friends
  • And for the finishing touch I added Crystal Stickles on to the background and Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen for the animals.
  • And that's it! ;)

VIDEO DETAILS

I have filmed a video for you from start to finish where I shared tips and tricks along the way. Enjoy!
