Sizzix - Double Partial Die-cutting with a Single Die + Video

Hello friends! Today is my day at Sizzix.co.uk blog to inspire you! After making several bright and colorful cards I decided and wanted to have a few subtle and soft colored cards in my stash! In my card, I used a technique called 'Double Partial Die-cutting' with a single die - Sizzix Thinlits Die Intricate Enchanting Blossom. This die is very intricate and beautiful. To be honest, I didn't get this Double Partial Die-cut panel good at one go! It took me a few attempts before moving on to the final project. I tried, practiced and failed many times and I really enjoy doing this because this helps me to explore more about Paper Crafting and Die-cutting!

A few attempts before making the final project

The Sizzix and other products I used in my project are Big Shot Plus Machine, Intricate Enchanting Blossom Die, Technique Tuesday Stamp Set, Broken China and Spun Sugar Distress Inks, Versamark Ink, Silver Embossing Powder, Heat it tool, Wink of Stella and Sequins.

I have also made a card processing video. You can watch it here or at my YouTube Channel. If you like my video please give it a thumbs up, share it with your friends and also don't forget to subscribe to my channel. You might find a few mistakes I did when I was doing a voice over. I'm sorry, my nieces and the neighbour's dog were making some noise and hence I was unable to concentrate and had blabbered some nonsense! I hope you don't mind! :P

Just For You!

Hello everyone! I shared this card processing video a few days back on Happy Little Stampers YouTube channel. To be honest, I wasn't quite happy with the result. Everything was a mess in this card, right from stamping to water-coloring! I don't know what happened to me! May be I must have lost my mojo! :(

I have another sad news to share! I lost my grandma on May 6th. She was a retired teacher, very active lady! But a few years ago, she had got her hip fractured, slightly paralyzed on one side and was bedridden for almost 6 years but she had a very great memory! yep! she was 85 years old!

When we were little, she was our teacher at home! She taught us everything! She gave us what we wanted and we wished for! She was the sweetest and we miss her badly today! RIP Chinnavva!

When I was a teenager I used to tease her a lot! My memories with her were teasing and irritating her or she will tease me and irritate me, viceversa. But when I reached my 20's I became a very lovable granddaughter. Always supporting her and cracking jokes which made her laugh! We were like friends! Finally I would like to say one word about my granny.. She is the best and we shall see her very soon in the Kingdom of God! :)

Here is the video, you can watch it here or at my YouTube channel. I know my videos are not of great quality. Still fixing the thing and searching for a new camera which suits my budget! And I really appreciate you for watching my bad quality videos and hopefully you'll see a little better quality in the next coming videos.

Tomorrow we are having a prayer meeting at our residence. I think I need a little break and I will be back very soon. Thank you so much for understanding! Take care! Bye!!

To My Dear Friend!

It's been a while since I made this type of card! I love to make cute little scenes with cute little critters with masking and inking. It always put a smile on my face whenever I see these cards in my box. :)

CARD MAKING PROCESS

  1. Take a piece of card stock which is slightly smaller than the main card base
  2. Create a mask with a copy paper or with post it notes or with masking paper and apply the ink - Tsukineko Neon Inks, to form a sky and green hill back ground.
  3. Once you are happy with the masking add a tiny droplets of water for some interest. Yes! Chalk inks reacts with water!
  4. Stamp the critters - Toboggan Together from Lawn Fawn on to some white card stock and color them with any medium you like
  5. Finally adhere them with foam tape and stamp the sentiment with Archival Jet Black Ink

I hope you like it. Thank you so much for stopping by and don't forget to check my post tomorrow for Sizzix.co.uk blog. :)
